NUFC Transfer Rumours

He's definitely worth signing but not at what we were willing to pay last summer.

At 30-40mil. Id say that's a great signing. We need to raise that ceiling at CB, and we need pace. As much as his long range passing is not even close to Schars, he breaks the lines better with short passing, and his balls into the box for mid range crossing areas are better.

25 mins in, and im now of the thinking that we should be adding Delap to the squad.

Yeah, he looked brilliant.

Delap would start for most of the league aside from us and City (possibly Liverpool). If he comes here to sit on the bench I'd be mightily surprised

Thought he got no service but looked nowt special yesterday, definetly not worth spending £30m on him when we need a RW, CB & GK more urgently

I disagree he's future proofing and would learn a lot from isak.

Plus it looks like he could be useful outwide.

He’s be getting game time every game!

Don’t want.

I really like Guehi. But I do wonder if he’s more suited in a 3 due to how poor he is in the air. Also he has regularly played LCB for Palace hasn’t he? Possibly a minor thing, but worth noting.

If the price isn’t daft and it’s not a bidding war or another Dutch auction. Then I still think he’d be a great signing.

Delap wouldn't be signed "to sit on the bench". Between rotations, sub appearances and covering for the inevitable Isak injuries I bet he wouldn't be that far off equalling Isak in minutes played.

I think with delap it's more about us improving his game than playing all the time. He would be happy getting cup games European games and when Isak is injured. Aswell as off the bench all season.

Do City have a buy-back clause for Delap? If they do then I can see them buying him back and flipping him a week later for £50m+ if the interest in him is there

If it's possible. Can they do that? :undecided:

Only if he agrees to it. He's not obligated to sign a contract with them even if Ipswich is obligated to accept any agreed buy-back fee.
