For the games he doesn’t start, he would likely come on from the bench in most, if not all. and next season, we are looking at 50 games minimum, you would think that any week where we have 2 games, he would start 1 of them. KaKa Posted May 26 Share Posted May 26 The reports are that Delap wants to maximise his playing opportunities to try and break into the England squad. If he's going to Chelsea, it will be because they have told him he will start for them. Personally, I am shocked that Chelsea have decided on him as their lead striker, having secured Champions League football. I like Delap, but not sure he's quite ready for that yet. Chelsea fans will be fuming. They've been talking about the likes of Gyokeres and Osimhen. Maybe he'll rise to it like Palmer did though. Will be very interesting to see how it plays out.
