Just finished graft,

Seems like it's all go, seeing links to Muani/Samu and apparently Wissa/Thiaw are close.

Anything else I've missed?

Its all press bollocks hype going into the weekend. It will go all quiet again until Tuesday when its rubbished and the DCL links resurface lol

The #NewcastleUnited is close to finalizing the acquisition of the striker #VangelisPavlidis, a #Greek player who currently plays for #Benfica. The transfer fee has not yet been disclosed, but it has been reported that the player will sign a five-year contract with the club.

I had him on my list of available strikers.

I wish I could trust an out-of-the-blue tweet from a Brazilian social media journalist about an agreement between an English club and a Portuguese club over a Greek striker, that nobody else has apparently been clued in on.

I hope so, it's just the early pursuit of Ekitike making me think we were preparing for Isak to go. Hopefully it was next summer.

Believe brother, believe. One more year of Isak and a substantial upgrade on Wilson.

If the owners cave and sell him to Skankypool, then we're basically giving up on being a top top club.

Use Isak as a makeweight. At this point I'd take Muani + 80 million Euros rather than sell Isak to Liverpool.

Bayern looking for a striker too. They won't spend that kind of money likely. I think everyone would pick anywhere but a PL club as a HUGE win for an Isak exit.

I just scoured the various European leagues and compiled a small list of goal scoring players that could be available at the right price. I'd hope the scouts are doing the same.

Why wouldn't you? Serious question.

I mean, I was referring to if the tweet from the journo was in any way close to the truth (that we're on the verge of signing Pavlidis). If so, it'd be a scoop and a half. And I'd be over the moon.

Even if he stays for one more year, I still wouldn't sell him to Liverpool. Hopefully other big clubs will be more willing to enter the bidding war. If say, Bayern offer 20 million more but Isak says 'no, I only want Liverpool' then fuck him, keep him for another year. He'll be worth next to nothing but at least he wont be wearing Liverpool colours.

Pure spite i know, but he's really painted my living room the wrong colour.

Silver lining is that Liverpool are as desperate for a striker this window as Isak is desperate to join them. If we make him stay, Liverpool might move for someone else (can't think of anyone else as good though), leaving them a little bit less inclined to stump up the cash we want come January or next summer.

Surely it’s worth doing? If we can get an option to buy too for £30m+.

Means we can evaluate longer term options, or sign him if Howe works his magic.

Or we sign Kane for £70m

Absolutely not [emoji38]

They wouldn't sell to us anyway, not a chance in Hell.
