Surely we have to bring in two strikers we have no senior striker at the club(mind you isak loves a strike mind. 😂 )

I'd buy what we need now and flog the tosspot when we can get the best deal for the club.

It would be a very disappointing outcome, but I could see us focus on strengthening other positions for the remainder of August, bring in only Wissa to replace Isak, sign DCL, and muddle through with Wissa/DCL/Osula until January.

 

There is really just nothing left on the top-tier striker market at this point and clearly we're not all that happy with the options we have. If an Isak sale is unavoidable, suffering for half a season might be better than plunking down 50-70m on someone we haven't vetted and don't actually want.

Agreed but still did it but also he wouldn’t be half fit. Not saying he’d miss large chunks of season im just saying I’m not sure he could be trusted

He will get jealous if he's replaced and we don't need him no more.

I have always really rated Mateta. Just about every time I’ve watched him play, he has looked a real talent. Would be thrilled to see him here.

It's a tough situation. If best we can do is getting a second player at or around Wissa's level, I'd really rather just save the money for later.
