It's a tough situation. If we're just getting a second player at or around Wissa's level, I'd really rather just save the money for later.

I’m hoping we go with Isak and Wissa for the season personally. Any of this can be ironed out if it comes to it.

That's the case for all of the "Isak replacements" out there at this point. The reality is there are probably no "Isak replacements" left on the market.

Only way I think it would be acceptable is getting a mateta but also someone like a paqueta.

After the escalation today I'm wiling to at least consider the possibility that it may be more trouble than it's worth to reintegrate him. We should still hold firm on our asking price, of course.

Escalation of bullshit from the media without any quotes escalation? It’s just feet getting stamped again.

Aye, it can all change quickly. I'm sure he'll sulk a bit then realise he wants to play and hey presto... he'll be back leading the line again

Team will soon welcome him back when we’re loosing all the time with big Willie chaos ball [emoji38] (personally think Willie would do better given more play time)

My concern is that by putting this in the media, he's burning bridges with the fans to the point where it may create a negative atmosphere if he's back. What I was hoping for was that everyone would keep their mouth shut for three more weeks and he'd be quietly reintegrated and we could all pretend that none of this ever happened. Clearly not an option anymore.

Or maybe he just comes backs, scores a goal, and all will be forgiven for a season. Who knows.

But I bet the players won't forget. It would be professional and knowing if he pulled his weight its for the good of the team and hes away on our terms next season

There will be a video of him chucking it up with the boys at Benton, a little interview about how you can’t believe everything the press says, he’s had a great time here, the injury was frustrating, can’t wait to score at SJP again, etc etc. He’ll bang in a goal and all the man babies will be back on side.

He doesn't play for any african nation does he?

He's now a Zamunda international.

And just our luck they've qualified for AFCON for the first time this year.

I’m so lost off with this.

Has he said he doesn’t want to talk or play for Newcastle again? If not then why are the players blanking him?

If he didn’t want to leave or there was any chance of him WANTING to stay then surely he would come out and say so?
