I know the game is more than just goals and assists, but his numbers match Grealish, Mount and Rashford. If Howe can improve him even further than £35-40m is an absolute steal.

There is plenty of room for improvement, his numbers ere good under Rodgers, and he's an utterly horrendous manager who couldn't get players playing to their maximum for more than a month or two a season.

He's not one to take on players with his pace, what he thrives on is quick ball and being allowed to make quick decisions which catch the opposition off guard. You ask him to take 11 touches all in the name of not losing it, then he'll be a hard watch at times.

Now a few caveats, he seems like he desperately needs coaching on where he needs to go and when he needs to go. So often he's wandering around in a poor position when there is a giant gap out wide waiting for him to exploit. IF he's coachable and not just really really bad at positioning and won't be told, then he's going to get double figures.

Left sided Miggy? Does he press or perform defensive duties?

Not massively, but then judging him on what Brendan (can't set a team up to defend properly if his life depended on it) Rodgers asked him to do is totally and utterly pointless.

Fans here have grown frustrated with him in recent years, but we grew frustrated with everything, watching that little turd ruin a decades hard working bit by bit, without anyone at the club barring 32,000 fans there on match day being able to see it.

Barnes has the potential to be an absolutely brilliant signing, his numbers show that what an average Barnes can do it a shit team... so imagine what one full of confidence, in a team playing well and a positive decent manager could do?

That'll dee. Eddie Howe will work his magic. He's always looked good when I've watched him play to be honest and hopefully he will sway other peoples opinions. Leicester are going to have a load of cash for your sales this season. It'll be a bit criminal if you's don't spend it wisely and come up like.

Love reading all the football coaches opinions on here mind .

Why are we wasting time here in a football forum discussing football when everyone could just repeat the 'trust Howe and Ashworth' line? This take is becoming a pet hate of mine tbh.

Right. We seem to have four wide players with similar characteristics. Miggy Murphy Gordon and Barnes. Fast in a straight line, not really dribblers. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Wonder if it’s the same person who told Hope about Bruce and Ritchie’s fall out.

In an era where the recruitment team are trying to keep their dealings confidential, there's naivety in someone having a decent sauce and then plastering loads of specific details allawwa the Twatter

You'd probably expect it from a well networked journo, but not some average punter

Chances are the sauce will decide it's too risky and dry up, or someone inside the club will tell them to dry up. Don't bite the hand that feeds you etc

Aye you’re right like.

Stuff like Barnes being at SJP isn’t a risk, but he tweeted that we were after Gordon on Jan a couple of weeks before.

Not knocking the lad like as I like his info, but you raise a good point.

Yes

Whats the crack there then? From the outside looking in I'd say he did a decent job overall: FA Cup win, Community Shield and 2x European place finishes, narrowly missing out on CL both times IIRC?

That being said, I know how fucking infuriating it is when an outsider tells fans who watch their team on a weekly basis how they should be thinking. Happened every week to us under Bruce from his media pals.

We've taken a huge risk in the manager, could be shrewd, could be sh***. At least he's buying players that actually fit how he wants to players... unlike the poison drarf he would sign 7ft tall centre backs with zero speed and then put them in a high line.

Definitely seems to be someone high up or very much involved with all aspects of the club.

He's had nailed on information about players we're scouting, players that are leaving, players that are definitely joining, players medicals and now when the official announcement will be made (announcement yet to be proven correct tbf but looks 99%)

He inherited a wonderful young team full of talent and a 20 goal a season striker. It worked wonderfully to start with, but sadly the club allowed him to get rid of our physios and replace them with his own. Along with then head of recruitment being his choice.

That's when the injuries started, he's ruined numerous players through injury and we were missing most of our team for huge chunks of seasons. His signings in the main have been utterly woeful, buying and then casting aside players. So he can moan about money all he wants, he wasted about £220m on utter shit that never troubled those already starting.

So things started to go stale within the squad, players started to get unhappy as he was forever throwing them under the bus, or not giving players a chance. We basically entered last season with about 11 players running down contracts and wanting out of the club.

Then you have the football, he's inherently negative and is more worried about the opposition than he is focusing on what we are good at. We were absolutely flying to start with, we lost one game and he just bottled it, going negative constantly. The football just got more an more negative as he went along, he couldn't fix any problems... see our set piece issue which went on for several years, until he accepted he couldn't sort it and brought in an outside specialist.

He basically just slowing chipped away at the fabric of the club bit by bit, of course that's on the head of those at the club allowing him to do so. But things started well and they thought he was god.

There is no way we should have been relegated in a million years, ludicrous we were. That's down to his man management, in the summer all he did was slag the club off and set a negative mindset from the off. He could have gone down the route of siege mentality, but just chose to try and save himself and his reputation at every opportunity. How the club didn't sack him last summer I don't know.

Anyway, it's so hard to get across without writing a book. Safe to say even before relegation the man was despised by most, which says a lot.

Quite a lot made about his lack of take-on success from last season but it seemed to be down a lot from his previous seasons which were closely aligned to the league average. Did Leicester change LBs or something?

We just slowed down so much, slow ball, no movement. The opposition was well set before he even got the ball, add in lack of confidence... oh and I think he was struggling from the serious knee injury from the season before.

It's crazy when you think how highly he is rated

It's a shame he didn't sign for Spurs, reading that

I wonder if Miggy will be the next sacrificial lamb to join the Saudi Pro league Wouldn't be bad if he was replaced by Diaby!!

Can't see us flogging Miggy ahead of a season with so many more demands. You'd struggle to find a harder working winger in world football - making replacing what he brings to the team a nightmare, even if quality wise you could find better for sure

Doubt it.

He offers far more than what ASM did last season and his defensive work alone is massive for us.

Almiron will be prime candidate to go next summer. I’d imagine it will be MLS for him. It won’t be the star names, but it will be one reasonable expendable player each summer, from here. Just to keep FFP in check

MLS record transfer is around £12m. Miggy has another two years on his contract after this coming season I think. There’s zero chance imo that we would or could sell him there.

It hink we need another striker.  What do we do if Isak and Wilson get injured..

We don’t have a limitless pot. You back Wilson & Isak. We can’t sign another striker, he’d be third choice. No chance of attracting anyone decent. We got other priorities to focus on.

I’d think we’d be terribly unlucky for them both to be injured for long periods at the same time.
