Yorkie
What a fucking beauty of a strike that was. Whistles past the goalie.
80
Really weak performance tonight. They had his number from the first whistle. Was hoping he'd pull it around with a crack from outside the box, but it never came. Glad Eddie took the initiative and withdrew him. Tonight was definitely not his night. Ronaldo
Don’t think he’s an away player tbh. Certainly not for where we want to be.

aussiemag
We aren’t playing to his strengths. Needs to receive the ball with support players around him for a 1-2. Also he’s probs it better as an impact player until He has a pre-season.
Whitley mag
Decent squad player but doesn’t take us to next level, if only we’d been able to get Cole Palmer instead.

joeyt
That underhit pass to Gordon in the first half when we had them 3 on 2 was so frustrating
Geogaddi
He always looks better coming off the bench , West Ham and Luton been his best games for us.

AyeDubbleYoo
He's never going to thrive in games where we can't put two passes together.

TRC
Barnes is quality control the game better and don't put out championship players and he will do well.

From what I've seen of him this season, he can do some strange things in the final third. I remember he made a mess of a big chance or two against Villa on the opening day, because of his decision making. That's the biggest flaw I've seen so far. His decision making still seems much better than that of Almiron though, who will make a mess of it 90% of the time. I think looking for the pass is definitely a weak link in his game, however I'd back him to score when he does get a chance more than anyone else bar Wilson/Isak. From the few things I've seen, I think his delivery is quite good when he does it in the right moments (seen som great crosses), but yeah, the decision making in those moments can be dodgy with him. My 2 cents. Edited April 25, 2024 by Erikse

80
I get the vibe he's genuinely not sure whether passing or taking a shot himself is more likely to benefit the team oftentimes. Partly as he's extremely good at shooting so the choice is less obvious than it would be for most players. But it is something he'd benefit a lot from resolving. Guest
Lovely assist yesterday. Seems to have that in his locker running at speed and being able to dink a short little pass behind the defenders.

Whitley mag
Thought his performance at Palace told us more personally, might be great at home when we’re on top of teams, but he certainly won’t be a game changer away from home when we’re under the cosh against better teams. Decent squad player but at 40 million he was a luxury and money could have been better spent.
The Prophet
Bit harsh when a majority of the team were well below par at Palace. Especially given he recently came on and pulled us out the mud v West Ham. Edited April 28, 2024 by The Prophet
