People also quick to talk down our youth prospects it seems.

I gave an opinion based on very limited viewing which I made pretty clear. If you have seen more of him then you can talk him up if you feel it's in order.

Didn't specify you mate.

There was more than one comment about him not playing for Bolton. He just joined on Monday [emoji38]

Fair enough, haven't really followed this thread. As I said, from my limited viewing he didn't really look anywhere close to being a first team player. Not even sure if he is still regarded highly on here by those who have seen more of him.

Still baffled how there are any people left on this forum that don't know he's not responsible for which clubs our players go to.

His own words suggests his role plays a part and it is a key responsibility of his (This was from when he got appointed so a few years back, so could have changed since then)

“For me, there are certain responsibilities that I see which are key in this role. The first is to implement an efficient and effective strategy of who is ready to go out on loan, where they should be going and what level they should be playing at.

I think it’s very important to have that process in place before we send kids out on loan. Different players need different things and it’s important that we fit them in the right place for what they need to develop."

If that's his remit he's fucking dreadful at his job.

Checked the Bolton forum and they seem to be impressed by him. Obviously early days, but would be nice if he could take Kellys place so we can invest elsewhere.

If he gets the game time we should probably loan him back for next season with a recall option

I met a mate who's a Bolton fan, and went to game yesterday. He played really well, and definitely wasn't subbed based in performance. Everyone around us was confused by the sub, until I said he's had a few injuries and hasn't played much.

Would love him to at least get into a place whereby we get a couple of million back for him, or even better, gain a player for our squad.

By all accounts we only payed £100k for him, so that would be a decent profit if he goes for a few million. I've liked the look of him from what i've seen mind, and think he has the qualities to potentially be a Premier League player eventually (Obvs there are a lot of variables as to whether that happens or not).

The fact this is his first loan move and he's starting for a team chasing promotion from League 1 is a positive at the least.

Is he a CB? Plays more like an attack minded wing back going off the highlights. Also, loses the ball in Crawley's half, then casually jogs back watching the attacker the entire way until he scores.

Looks pretty good on the ball, to be fair.
