The College Dropout Posted Saturday at 19:02 Share Posted Saturday at 19:02 It was obvious at the end of last season when he got in the team that Hall was ready for a lot of minutes this season. He looked immense in those last half dozen games. Had he had a run a little earlier he may have gone to the euros imo. That run was caused by the injury crisis but I think it changed Howe’s view of Hall.

And then at the start of this season he gave the ball to the oppo in really bad positions regularly......!lby fuck he's came on since then. MotM again and making a dominant left side. He can perform.
STM Posted Saturday at 19:35 Share Posted Saturday at 19:35 @Unbelievable I will help you out on this one and show how an adult should approach these conversations. I was wrong on both Hall and Howe. I though Howe would start Kelly and push Hall to the sidelines. I was wrong. I didn't doubt Hall mind and this season I've been nothing but impressed by his technical output. He's getting better and better and I'm buzzing for him.

That's what I want to know. Did Hall deserve to start the season as left back? Did he? Has he proven it to be the right choice? Dokko Posted Saturday at 19:40 Share Posted Saturday at 19:40 I think he's better than livra. Have done since last season, just needed to know he's a FB and that's where he's staying. Bit like Anderson, judt needed to know his game isn't as far forward as initially trained.
STM Posted Saturday at 19:42 Share Posted Saturday at 19:42 They are just different types. Tino is more Reece James. Hall is more Luke Shaw. Power and pace. Composure and passing.

I think livra will be inconsistent, which you can't have as part of any defensive peice. Edited Saturday at 19:45 by Dokko
Weezertron Posted Saturday at 19:45 Share Posted Saturday at 19:45 Tino is slightly unfortunate in that he’s always compared to trippier, who was once one of the best right backs in the league.
Tsunami Posted Saturday at 19:52 Share Posted Saturday at 19:52 One thing that’s noticeable is his improved stamina. He was blowing out his arse after 60 mins last season. Don’t know if it’s just match fitness through regular game time, which is huge, but, he looked like a 90 minute player today. He made an absolutely crucial interception around 85 mins in the middle of goals which last season he wouldn’t have even attempted to close down. He said he doesn’t seem himself as a FB, he can be and he needs to embrace it. He’s a young lad he has loads of time to develop his position.
JEToon Posted Saturday at 20:02 Share Posted Saturday at 20:02 (edited) He done so much well but he is a gnarly wee sod as well I had slight concerns early when Arsenal looked like they’d channel a lot in the air on him for Havertz to go and play on him given the height advantage but he quickly made them reconsider that. So he struggled at the start and had people calling for him to be dropped, which he was by the manager, and not a peep from you through all that. Now he's come back in and is doing well here you are gloating. Well congratulations. I am glad for you. If I said I wasn't confident in him defensively based on what he did last season, that is not me spouting shit. It was clearly a weakness of his, and it did show itself early on this season again. Honestly, this is just embarrassing really.

Some truth in that. Having little competition on the left, to tripps at rb could and probably does change views.

The Academy and reserves is going to start pumping players as young as Hall through over the next few years. Plenty of prospects with the pool getting flooded with more all the time. Fucking exciting. Hall was class today.
Erikse Posted yesterday at 00:45 Share Posted yesterday at 00:45 (edited) 6 hours ago, Sibierski said: For me, always been massive on Hall. Such a huge talent, and people go way overboard on the defensive side, as there’s so few full backs in World football that regularly are flawless defensively. Exactly. It's not like people wanted peak Trippier out of the lineup because he wasn't the best defensively. He made mistakes aswell, often times he got saved by teammates. Noone cared that much because he was massive offensively. Edited yesterday at 00:46 by Erikse

Composure and passing. Reece James is an ultimate technician. He’s a blend of both Hall’s ability on the ball (and better crossing), Livra’s athleticism and a footballing IQ that has seen him play effectively at RB, RWB, CB and DM/CM at an elite level. The comparison to Livramento on the ball (and I love Livra) is disrespectful to James. on Hall he showed great defensive nous at the end of last season. I thought at worst he would rotate with Kelly but I and many others never thought Kelly would entirely displace him. Hall is a far more talented player - you can see that instantly. GeordieToon Posted yesterday at 01:54 Share Posted yesterday at 01:54 When Livramento & Hall came from chelsea a lot of there fans said it was a bad decsion to let them both go. you can see why now going to be top top players.
