Definitely think it's time to give him a run in midfield. At least in the FA cup game anyway. He could play that more advanced LCM role we use better than Longstaff has done imo... Longstaff is completely unsuited to it and is a different player on the right.

Get him crossing from deep on the left and providing overlaps for Gordon. It makes sense in a lot of ways.

I know he’s young. But if you can’t get 40 minutes or so ahead of a 4 years past it Matt Ritchie. Then you’re not worth £28m and it’s a bit of a worry (N-O trademark).

This.

Again.

That's been my theory for a good while.

Pretty sure Howe don't want him.

Hasn't it been reported a fair bit now that the obligation isn't appearance based, with others going as far to say it's based on our final league position?

Explains The last 2 months then.

You mean that random Chelsea ITK saying we pay unless we get relegated? No one has a clue what it’s based on.

I think a couple of reporters picked it up? The Chelsea ITKs were saying it's if we don't get relegated.

Again, not remotely worried about this.

If he's going he's going, if he's staying there will be a long term plan for him and a pathway into the first team, it might just take longer than we'd hoped.

If this is the case surely it’s better for Chelsea and the player for us to send him back. Its not good for his development or confidence to be seeing Matt Richie getting on the pitch ahead of him.
