The only reason i'd be "ok" with this is if it means we can lump a lot of cash on RW, CB, CM.

CM is a much higher priority for me than GK if we can't afford both. Even then sigh...

Would be an excellent low-cost addition in a ‘difficult to fill’ position IMO.

Offers a skill set that we don’t currently have (an attacking player with good aerial ability and physical presence).

Wasn’t particularly worried about his injury record as had been very good recently, until the most recent hamstring one, which is obviously far from ideal, but as long as there doesn’t look to be an issue still there, I’d be ok with it.

We're not signing another CM whilst we have 6 of them on the books.

I'm confident that we will get rid of at least one. Even if not, it's vital amyway.

If his contribution is removing some of Isak’s workload then that’s good enough.  He will get his fair share of minutes I think

Anyone could do that though.

As a Wilson replacement he’s absolutely more than fine, relatively cheap outlay and I think people generally under estimate him as a player.

He also ticks all of the boxes that Howe likes to see ticked.

You know what I mean. He’s a striker with PL experience.

Unfortunately, he also ticks many of the unsavoury boxes.

Could you see any of the traditional big 6 signing him?

No, but that’s because they all have an income c.£200m more than ours, so wouldn’t need to think about it

Is one of the boxes - 'someone to keep the medical team busy'

:laugh2:

In all seriousness given our needs elsewhere if he could stay fit I think it would be an ok signing, however, I don't think he will stay fit so don't think he'll have anymore to offer than Wilson did last season.

I think Willock could be a short term answer. Strange he never been tried played in the middle. Has shown in the past he can finish both feet and in the air.
