I'm fairly whelmed by this. I think there's definitely a player in there, but I would have preferred other defenders. Thiaw will definitely raise the floor though.

if it wasn't for his injuries, he would have likely gotten near 20 goals in his first season. Been pretty consistent from the beginning, apart from the beginning and end of last season.

Should we all just say Thaiw is a quality signing even tho some of us don’t think he is  if things are negative people are going to have a negative opinion. I’d rather be true to my opinions than just be positive for the sake of positivity. Thaiw is an average signing

From brief Dennis Wise scouting looks big and strong. He's a big unit so probably not the quickest first step but looks a decent athlete when running. Has a nice easy way of striking the ball with his long passes.

 

Of course with defenders it's essential to know how many random fuckups he makes, which tends not to be in the stats or youtube vids, so we'll have to wait and see what his Bramble Quotient is. If it turns out he has a low BQ as well he could be a good player.

We'll see how average a signing he is once he joins and gets some games under his belt along with all the others.

 

At that point we'll revisit all these assertions being made.

 

Instead of judging players off hype, price tags or FM ratings.
