Pretty sure we didn't sign him for anything he did for Sheffield United in the Prem last season guys. They pretty much hung him out to dry [emoji38]

Exactly. Pretty silly really.

Not even up to 800 mins of play.

He obviously passed the eye test well enough though

I think he looks pretty useful on highlights, just a bit untidy at certain points. He's a kid though.

I would love it if he outscored and out assisted Minteh this season

Depends if Minteh is coming to start games I guess. Wouldn't worry too much about that comparison.

Definitely wasn’t on Brightons radar with those stats

They really should have loaned him out more to be honest.

The Belgium or Dutch league and he probably would have made them a lot more money.

Put some respect on his aerial duels

Just don't look at his aerial duels lost and % of aerial's duels won stats!

Exactly. He played intermittently for one of the worst teams in PL history who spent the vast majority of games defending. That's a perfect storm for a young inexperienced striker trying to impress, I'm essentially ignoring all of his stats for last season, he'll get plenty of minutes this season and I'll judge him purely on what I see, I think he'll do rather well tbh

Our interviewers really know how to hang a young kid out to dry

"So Will, I understand you're single. Obviously you'll know all about the famous nightlife here in Newcastle. Have you got any churches in mind for where you'll eventually get married?"

Couldn't hack it with Derby in his league one loan (2 goals and no assist in 16 appearances, mostly of the bench) when he was 19, so doubt he'd have set the Belgium or Dutch league on fire

Straight into the first team squad.

You don't get a locker with your name above it if your gonna be playing in the reserves like.

Wicked willy looked well happy with this move.

Dutch and Belgium leagues are the best places to loan younger players in my opinion.

They actually value younger players and are better environments for teaching the game and nurturing talent. Just seems to be more of the culture.

There's a reason Brighton go down that route.

Don't really trust league one and two teams at all in the same way. No chance.

Osula would have been further along if he had gone down that route already.

Howe had said they have tracked him for 3+ years as well, they have looked alot deeper than last seasons stats alone as is expected under this management. The meticulous level we seem to be at in terms of scouting the right young players now is an absolute joy.
