Aye I thought he was a handful. He lost the bell half way inside his own half for the goal. It shouldn’t take one pass to split the defence open from that far out - that’s not on Osula.

Totally agree. Just unlucky it led to a goal. Least he kept going and tried to make amends. Didn't hide.

Everyone misplaced a pass or two at some point, his wasn't solely responsible for their goal and it was his only real mistake when he was on, so fairly easy to disregard it imo.

I think we were quite stretched by that point tbh, the game seemed really open. We could have scored 3 in the last 20 mins, and they were through twice as well.

He should have got some minutes yesterday, I mean we’re 4-0 up with half an hour to go.

 

if they are not going to send him on loan, you’re not going to get a better chance than that to get some useful minutes. Not sure why Almirón was on ahead of him.

I don’t think Howe will have wanted to reward him giving a goal away midweek with more minutes yesterday tbh, which is fair enough imo.

 

Howe is pretty harsh on new players like that but it has consistently worked out.

From the sounds of that BDB quiz he's a bit of a lad. Maybe he's turning up late to training or whatever and Howe doesn't want to reward that? That's the only thing I think it could be, because it is weird. Even if he's gash, putting him on once Isak has a hattrick saves Isak's/Gordon's legs for half an hour, which at this point of the season is important.

He’ll get minutes eventually when Howe and the coaching staff are confident in him. Unless he’s looking like prime Drogba in training, I don’t see the need to whinge.

disagree you don’t chuck someone on who has made mistakes in his minutes before and he could again which would destroy his confidence.

 

Howe isn’t stupid.

It's not an issue, we've seen Eddie do this numerous times before until he's confident the player is ready or circumstances dictate. Did it with far higher profile signings.

I don't think it's that, to be fair. Don't think Eddie would've sounded so positive about him at other times if that was the case. I think he's just young, energetic and irritating. Not exactly Dan Burn's speed. Looks a bit like our Brazilians have become his minders, which is good of them.

 

Was more interested in Willock getting all the fines, to be honest.

Must have been a monumental fuckup in the last 7 days then as he came on at 4-0 up last week ahead of Almiron.

I actually think he’s got something about him for the brief stuff we’ve seen but there’s more to it with this one I reckon. Hope I’m wrong.
