Will Osula

Would rather have that 15m available now in January than signing him. No, it’s not the same thing as when we signed Hall. Hall has always had ridiculous talent and technical ability and it was a too god chance to miss out on him.

Will people just chill about Osula. He’ll get his chance, probably next season. He’ll have to wait like Hall did. He’s only ever done good things every time he’s played and come very close to scoring a couple of times.

This. His time will come.

I saw nothing to merit his signing, but that aside, one of Howe / Mitchell wanted him here and he's in the one position that can afford being brought on regularly as a sub so the fact he's getting no minutes even when there are no other strikers available leaves lots of questions about him.

After he gave a goal away a couple of weeks ago in one of his brief cameos it's pretty easy to understand why Howe might not want to bring him on when we're only a goal up.

This. It was an incredibly tight last 10 and the last thing you want is a raw striker giving the ball away in dangerous positions. Is it that hard to understand why Howe might trust Willock more?

If you think it was tactical at that stage of the game then crack on 👍

What stage - 16 mins of play left including added time with a single goal advantage away from home? Of course it was tactical bringing Willock on instead. What do you think it is?

I love how he's adamant it wasn't a tactical decision because it happened during the time period of a match where 99.9% of tactical decisions get made

it was 86 minutes along with Longstaff coming on for Murphy, another tactical masterclass I suppose. As I've said, Osula could have been brought on to rough things up

I think you missed out on including your own comment, which I'm quite certain is what you are referring to here.

nah it was trying to deride a poster by siding with someone else, and sounding like licking his arse. Not my style at all but you crack on fella

Feel a bit for Osula but ultimately Howe won us the game with his changes and has a proven record of developing and getting the best out of players. Just need to trust his judgement on Osula and hope he does just as well with his introduction as he has all of his other signings.
