Yeah, I think he has some great raw materials to his game: big, great athlete, got dribbling skills and a cannon of a shot off either foot. I'm happy with him being 3rd choice, covering some minutes, even coming in on the wing. He's the sort of player you don't want to face when you're getting tired near the end of a game. 

 

BUT, like Elliot Anderson he's at that age where he needs to play first team football week in week out or he's never going to have a chance to properly develop the mental side of his game. 

 

He feels like one of those who could become brilliant or spend his career in the championship/league 1 and I really don't know which way it'll go.

Think they’ll be looking at a similar profile, a year or two younger and a player who’s got a lot of developing to do. Likely will have strong physical attributes, pace and height. The key thing on top of that will be looking for someone they think they can coach effectively

Not necessarily. We play one up top and have Wolt and a now fit Wissa with Gordon as an emergency. Loan move seems strange unless it includes an obligation to buy.

I don't get why teams like Palace can have 4 or 5 strikers and we can only have 2. Surely a young versatile lad who can play across the front and stretch defences is a massive asset?

The only name I heard mentioned so far was Samu, and they were quoting £80m for him in the summer. Unless his price has come down a lot, can't see that happening with Wissa and Wolt already here.
