Skipping a round was one thing but seeding them so they can't meet another one of the top teams, and also giving 4 of them home ties by default is a real kick in the teeth to the lesser teams and non Premier League teams who really try for the League Cup at this stage. I can only think the cup sponsors want to keep the cartel clubs sweet, and the more of them in the semi finals onwards the better. They'll hardly want a West Ham or even us in the final.
