Picture the scene....

Your team is playing in their first Champions League knockout. They're 1-5 up without ever having to really get going, a last 16 tie against Barca or Chelsea looks a cert, you're overjoyed.

Except you're a member of NO so you're fucking raging and you can't wait until the end of the game to start criticising players.

Absolutely twat a team away from home in the Champions league and the first thing that comes to mind is to clock in in here and say Elanga’s shite.

Some of you lot could fall into a barrel of tits and you’d be happy when you climbed out sucking a thumb because you’d have something to piss and moan about.

Was just going to put something similar, people really like shitting on this lad huh?

He's been playing well so far this year, and looking way more assured with himself and the team in general. He has a mediocre game, not poor, just a bit ineffective and "meh", and people can't wait to come in and have a go. Its odd, especially given it happened in a game we won 6-1

Sounds mad given we've just won 6-1, but don't think there were many standout performances, simply because there didn't need to be.

Nothing about raging. He was poor, Its just an observation. Hes struggling with the basics again.

Shit happens. His progression here might not be on an upward linear trajectory game by game.

Must be allowed to comment about his performance regardless, without being called out?

Yeah, exactly. Even at his best he's going to have some head scratching moments and performances. Just the player he is.

Wasn't particularly impressed with the wing play tonight on the whole to be honest, until Murphy came on and smashed one in, as Barnes wasn't that great either.

Crazy the performance was so dominant without the team really threatening down the wings. I guess they did contribute a lot off the ball though as the speed when harrying them at the back threw them off a lot, and led to most of the chances created.

Some people can’t wait to criticise him and it’s annoying. So those people who seem to take pleasure from criticising him should expect some pushback from the people who aren’t willing him to fail.

He was pretty average, but so were most of the team. Didn't think he was stand out bad.

Think he stands out when it comes to ball control, or the lack of it. Runs himself into trouble and the misplacing passes is there for everyone to see.

I'm just confused by his pace. Stats circulate that he'll have one of the fastest speeds in whatever competition. He's clearly fast. But it doesn't seem to matter who we're playing -- he rarely wins a foot race with the fullback. Multiple times I thought he'd beat Elvin Jafarquliyev and his 71 pace on FIFA to the ball and he just doesn't do it.

I thought that more than anything we bought blistering pace and I'm genuinely confused at what I'm watching.

Not sure there are anyone in here who is twisting their fingers writing for fun at the expence of him. Thats quite ridiculous to think.

It’s sad that we’ve got two right sided forwards that can’t pass the ball to their teammates 8 times out of 10

Murphy’s got a pass completion rate of 74% and Elanga’s is 81% ya galoot.
