Well...yea it is

Still, he'll at least work off the ball and can work well with Trippier on the right allowing Barnes to play on the left.

His work rate is underrated and wouldn't offer less than that front 3 and midfield just have. Fucking rank watching this. No clue how to attack at all and then Fulham just run through us with ease. Been happening all season and seemingly Howe doesn't have the ability to fix it. No pressing with intent, wasteful on the ball, tactically poor, slow as fuck and no movement at all. Side to side and start again. Boring, disgusting football and no real injuries to hide behind now.

Always backed Howe and think he's mint but not sure what he's doing this season with that team and how the fuck Tonali isn't starting. Maybe instead of chasing Guehi all transfer window he should have looked to improve a few areas of the team. Don't even think defence is the real problem it's that 6 in front of them

Hopefully silence the Gordon on the right side fan club this

he’s been equally bad on both sides. He switched at around 25-30min and has been arguably worse on the left. Something seems off with him for sure.

Probably the worst I’ve seen us for effort in a game under Howe. Seems really half arsed. So disappointing, I thought we would play well today.

Pope, Burn, Gordon have been the poorest for me. Burn twice in a row, I’d get him off for Hall and move Kelly inside and get Tonali on but I can’t see us getting anything out of this

A week spent on the training ground as well for this.

Remember last season people saying after our injury spell and no Europe, we would pick up as we’d have more time to train. If anything, we’ve actually got worse as a side over time the more we’ve trained :D It’s so baffling and alarming.

Just no where near same levels or general play as this time last season.

Thanks, man. But that’s what I have been doing and it just gives and sticks on club sponsors page 🤷‍♂️

Seems everything is shit and ‘we’re losers baby, so why don’t you kill us?’

I'm getting that as well. Can listen on the nufc app, but can't play it in the background on there so can't do anything else while it's on like I would do last season.

Another masterstroke from the club.

I can't believe how stand-offish and limp we were for that first goal. Three men in the vicinity of Adama and both centre halves attending to Jimenez and not one of them got even remotely close to either player.

Probably our worst half under Howe that, early days with knacker Bruce side excepted. Fuck all desire, set up poorly and absolutely no threat whatsoever.

Isak can't be enjoying himself in this side whatsoever, he's been a passenger all season, tap-in aside.

Think there's a lot more context to consider like.

Not seen us play worse than that since the very early days under EH. A defeat I can handle just fine, not playing well happens, but showing a lack of desire and in a couple of cases just seemingly not caring at all...that's alarming like. Once you get a couple not playing for the gaffer, that's a slippery slope. Can't understand why he won't start Tonali either, maddening. Apart from the results in general, just about everything else has felt off since the summer. It's a kind of joyless vibe.

Not a chance today.

We can definitely still win this. Early goal. Red for Fulham. I’ve seen way crazier things. Just need to wake up and make some changes.

heard a stat that pope has faced the 2nd most shots of anyone in the league. Will probably be top in that category by end of this one. Doesn’t help that he’s been awful for over a year now

The midfield was the issue I do t care if Howe doesn’t want a specialised CDM but one of the three CMs needs to perform the role.

There's been a gap between defense and midfield that hurts us in transmission and away from home in particular.

We've been shite away from home (apart from at Fulham ironically) for over a year now.

Nobody seems to be arsed about fixing any of the above.

It’s the lack of any urgency that’s really worrying for me. If you’re not at absolute 100% most PL sides will run past you in transition and will have time to organise when out of possession.

Something needs to happen, we don’t look like a happy team just now.

For me:

                      Pope

Trippier   Schar      Burn     Tino

                      Tonali

         Bruno               Joelinton

Isak                                    Barnes

                       Osula

Or stick Osula with Isak.

Many won't agree with this, but I think Joelinton makes the better holding midfielder, and Bruno should be pushed up.

Bruno just doesn't effect the game enough when he's playing deeper.

I'd sub Gordon and put Harvey back on the left, and bring Almiron on the right for some much needed energy.

I'm starting to have doubts... not because I don't think the ability is there, but because it feels like the players are no longer buying into the long term plan and, as sad as it seems, it doesn't feel like Eddie believes either. Whether something has kicked off in the background between the playing staff and the money/technical staff or whether it's something else, it just feels like the momentum we had, the togetherness, the drive, it's gone.

I'm quite worried for the cup game midweek against Wimbledon, never mind Haaland and City next weekend.

And they will be all about intensity and aggression. Without it you lose simple as that, even with all the talent in the world
