Players generally don’t play with broken toes do they?

He had the toe issue (although not stated as to what) when he played against Fulham, and was a doubt for that game. If they didn't pick up a suspected /possible toe break then, Bunce is doing  a grand job [emoji38]

Which is the concern right? 5 games in and potentially making the same mistakes as we did last season. (Botman playing with a potential ACL ffs).

Albeit this hasn't been confirmed by anybody yet? (Other than No Hope).

Aye, I don’t think so although the club and transparency with injuries means we might never know.

The actual Isak quote without Hope’s doom mongering:

”He’s had scans, he’s had lots of tests. The injury has been diagnosed fine. It sounds far worse than it is but he’s got a broken toe. It’s one that can be managed and played with providing he can manage the pain levels. That will have no long-term risks. He had injections to numb the toe last week, so that was fine until it wore off.”

Would love to know how you manage a broken toe.

Eczema? Feels like we’re getting round to Notting Hill levels of excuses for Targett not being able to play

Depends on how severe it is - maybe hes just had an outbreak on his face.

If its severe - some or all of his body may be a weeping infected mass of pus and blood resembling a burns victim.

Wait until it heals you would have thought. Can't imagine if there's any sort of pain that you could play effectively with one.

I mean the pain can be managed by pumping him full of drugs, I’m not sure how you alleviate the lack of rest or he can maintain any sort of fitness without training.

Goes to show how bad the summer window really was. Isak picks up an inevitable injury and we're literally back to square one.

The summer was an unmitigated disaster and despite that and all of the talk from all parties we are still none the wiser as to precisely why we left the supermarket empty handed.

After a season where we suffered the same issues last time....and it cost us Europe.

Would help if we had signed a back up striker who is actually fit for purpose.

The summer window was undoubtedly pretty bad, but we got the striker profile that we thought we needed. Other positions would've been the priority.
