Remember the multiple games against Stevenage for example Obviously a huge difference in class, but from what I saw it reminded me a bit of the second half of the Man City - Arsenal game, where Arsenal had all 10 men camped around their own half. Their keeper has had to make 3 saves all night, to not create more is just a bit disappointing to me, I just expected a little more from us. Gordon wasted a couple of good situations by being a bit greedy, I thought. He also doesn't look to link with Hall as much as he could. Why run yourself into the ground if you can get the result you need? Through to the next round for a more blood and thunder affair. There was a time when we often didn’t win these sort of games. Yeah we don’t have anyone really do we and we’ve certainly been crying out for some proper creativity on the RW. Assuming Schär was just doing his usual and not injured you couldn’t really ask for more. Not a single bead of sweat was shed and we’ll all have forgotten about this in a couple of months. It wasn’t as ruthless as I would like but it was all that was needed. We definitely looked better towards the end with a few more of the dangerous players on.
