Joe1984
Due to the fact people were struggling to access our last game on Sky Sports+ via Sky Sports mobile app last time, here's what you need. 1. Sky Sports subscription. (Duh!) 2. Sky Sports Mobile App. 3. If making an account on the Sky Sport app for the first time. The app will ask what Sports you follow. Pick Football. Premier League and then Newcastle United as your team. The NUFC badge should appear bear the top. Click this as a shortcut to the NUFC page, where the match should be. 4. If you already have an account on the app, but haven't picked a favourite team. You should see a pencil like icon on the app. This allows you to customise. Click on it and follow step 3. I hope this helps those that need it.
McDog
11 hours ago, Lush Vlad said: Yes. We've been winning so many pots of late. This tinpot one can wait. Shittiest competition we're in. Pointless. Not point in the Europa Conference League, either. I'm glad we didn't end up qualifying for that and all. Not trying to rile you up. How would you rank the domestic competitions? For me. League FA Cup League Cup One of them has to be last. Anyway, I am pretty sure everyone would be happy with a win tomorrow and if they can win it all, great! I was responding to a comment about winning the league cup but finishing 17th is what they'd prefer. I just don't agree and I know I am in the minority here and I think I know why. Most of you lads have been living and dying with the squad for many more years than me so I get it. You want to win something.
Lush Vlad
Obviously in that order. We’re not winning the league any time soon and the FA Cup is no easier or harder to win than the League Cup, IMO. Even if it has more prestige. Nobody will remember or care about Arsenal finishing 2nd or all the times Liverpool pushed City close with record points totals. We have won fuck all for so long. I think we need to get that monkey off our back and some joy back in fans lives. If it was some hypothetical deal which was finish top 4 for say, 4-5 seasons on the spin or this 17th and the league cup. Then I’d take the former. As it would help the club grow and mean we are closer to becoming a team that wins things. But as a one off, give me the cup every fucking time. Sounds absolutely ridiculous reading that scenario back. But you know what I mean

The website also states you can use the red button to watch sky sports+ on the TV. Edited October 29 by Joe1984

JEToon
One of the wins of missing out on Europe was going to be a fresher, more rested, more tactically drilled side who would have a slight edge in games and be invested in Cups. Any end of season assessment of Eddie will include cups, this is a really big game to us.

HawK
Welp, predicted the last 2 losses if not exact scores. Sorry lads we're losing again today, 0-
STM
I think we win this. It will have a different feel.

On the fence, can see a 2-0 loss or a game where things just click against a slightly weakened Chelsea team and we ease to a 3-0 win
mouldy_uk
No idea why, but I’m feeling confident. 2-1 win
El Prontonise
1-1. Then toss of a coin on pens imo.
Sean
Can't see anything other than a win. Mainly because of the weekend. There has to be some sort of a reaction.

geordiekris
Think we'll have a similar approach to this as Sunday but with a more conservative team. Kelly for Hall and Murphy for Almiron

SiLvOR
This may sound harsh to Burn, but I'd like to see him dropped for Kelly. See how a CB with more pace partnering Schar works out.

Especially if we want to continue with the CB pressing the striker deep into the opposition half. But Howe recently mentioned about height in the team and losing the likes of Botman, Lascelles and Wilson for aerial prowess at set pieces. Think it is either on record or regularly alluded to, at least, about how much he favours height in his back 4. So I just can't see it happening. Very good at that aggressive defending style, though. Bringing the ball out from the back and his passing, also. Plus his pace. Partnered with Botman, I think he would have been great. Still might be at some point. But I think that ship has sailed.
Cf
I expect us to be full strength for this. If we had a CL game we would be. Treat it like that. We need to get our first XI clicking and this is a great chance to get some confidence in, especially if Chelsea field a weakened team. We have to be strong favourites for this. If we lose then Howe out, Saudis out, etc, etc
