Draw was the fair result, but Rice fucked their golden chance and Isak took ours.

Was it fuck? We scored and nullified them completely after that.

My only regret is it wasn't a hugely controversial winning goal to discombobulate them some more, but I sooth that with the thought that a clean left hook win on top of that hugely controversial winning goal last season will be as sickening.

Delighted we won. Off to do something else.

Ignorance? We tactically out shone them in every department, you can use graphs and XG to make your point, but anyone watching that game knows Arsenal didn't deserved shit.

They probably score more times than not from the chance Rice got at the end.

That doesn't preclude saying that we defended well across the game.

I have no doubt we could’ve created more xG if it was needed. Dropped back a bit in the second half and it was as comfortable as it has ever been.

Flapped at some corners, but did Pope even have to make a save?

There was the block by Hall but other than that I can't remember them going closer.

Their total xG was 0.67 on your graph. Do the math genius.

It's so obvious there plan like if anyone gets close to them go over and win a setpiece.

They've regressed I feel and now rely on late winners and percentage football. Big sam would be proud.

I can’t believe they haven’t forked out the money for an elite striker. Havertz and Trossard are good players, but they aren’t prolific goal scorers.

Why are you so worked up? Rice had a big chance. I've seen another XG model record the Rice chance as 0.59, which would be a goal more times than not from that position. Looked that way too.

Don't know why everyone is making such a deal about it though. You can defend well, feel like you deserve the win and enjoy it whilst being able to see that across the 90 both teams only had 1 good chance

That's the spirit, don't let the manager and players making you look a right knob this week spoil the fact we've won two games.

Okay, I'll add to the discussion.

Our problem this year is scoring goals against low block sides. We don't learn a great deal about that from beating Chelsea's cup team nor today. We got two great wins which we can all enjoy, but we still need to see an improvement with the ball in the upcoming games.

I look at xG more than most here but find your posts completely unnecessary here. We dropped down a bit after taking the lead and Arsenal had no idea what to do outside set pieces and that one cross to Rice. Very much a match where eye test>xG or stats as they had no idea how to break us down. 0.59 for that header seems way too high in any case.

Bizarrely comfortable, Arsenal looked a shadow of the last couple of seasons.

Some great performances all across the park from us. The two fullbacks were excellent.

They don't half miss Odegaard. He's by far and away their star man.
