Nottingham Forest vs. Newcastle United: 10/11/24 @ 14:00 (Sky Sports)

SCAB!  SCAB!  SCAB!  SCAB!

Beyond that, I’ve never been more traumatised at an away ground.  I can barely remember the match from May 1996 (I can remember both goals being crackers, and Ferdinand’s gilt-edged chance), but what sticks in the mind is 13-year-old Brown Bottle clearly looking miserable sat next to my dad on the coach back to Newcastle, and an old fella who was pissed on tea and rum (an away game classic mixer) telling me ‘divvunt worry kidda, they’ll win it next year’.

Spoiler alert - we didn’t win it next year.  Nor any other year.  Nor any other trophy.

Let’s beat these cunts.

If we press like we have at home in the last two games they'll not be able to live with us.

But we shall see if the team do so.

International break to recover. Let’s do this [emoji38]

This has got to be the Bunce effect, we're not bringing players back 'early' any more. I want our players fighting fit when they come back, not ready to relapse at any sign of a slight overextension or knock. Short term pain for long term gain imo.

Aye we had no choice last season tbh and yet still were minutes away from European football.  So it’s all good. Last season is in the past and it looks like Bunce is worth his job function by successfully implementing and convincing Eddie and the team about process and knowledge on this thing.

Cannot be a captain/leader doing impulsive, stupid things like that.

Lascelles got booked fir blocking a throw in attempt and he wasn't even playing.

He did that whilst club captain too...

And that would be perfectly fine seeing as he played really well against both Chelsea and Arsenal.

Well, that depends on how Forest set up, really. If they allow us the lion's share of possession and counterattack on us, Longstaff in CM will be pointless as has been seen already this season in an away game where we had most of the ball (initially, anyway), where he was substituted and we went on to win the game at Wolves.

Longstaff is useful in the games like last week but not in games where we need to break opposition who are sat deep down imo.
