Some players know that they won’t be there is we manage to get some PSR breathing space, and they play like they have given up and are happy to see their contract out.

Out of everyone we have in our squad who we wouldn’t sell, I don’t think any Premier League team would touch them, and no Championship team, or team in Europe/MLS could afford their wages.

Given up ? Quite a damning statement

Howe out.

Hard to call, the sheer fact that players like Murphy, Kelly and Almiron are any where near the squad along with all the other dross that fills the bench. Tells me he needs more reliable players and with that time.

Then the Elephant in the room, Tonali sitting on the bench all the while Longstaff gets tackled and falls flat on his face for the 1000 time, all while look to the ref for a foul.

So fuck knows, but this squad is so unbalanced.
Maybe Isak or Bruno need to be sold.

At least nobody is over-reacting. That’s a relief.

West Ham's goal was against the run of play. Howe went 4-4-2 in response and we went from controlling the game in midfield to West Ham completely bossing it.

Entirely this, utterly shocking half time sub.

I can't believe we had to wait all weekend for THAT performance.

It's not the performance that worries me. That's the 3rd game now that our star boys have missed multiple huge opportunities to score.

Up until their 2nd they were letting us in their box constantly. They're too slow on the break and were barely a threat until Wan-Bissaka morphed into Cancelo.

That was their game plan tbh, play narrow invite the pressure and hit on the break. Working perfectly. Seems that’s the blueprint for playing against us, our creativity and finishing has been woeful most of this season.

We might not win but I’m conabout a better performance against Liverpool at home than today. Because we can only really play the transitional game well. More often than not we look clueless and don’t really have the right players either.

If it does turn out to be an inconsistent season (which is looking quite likely), I'm not sure that will satisfy PIF come the end of the season.

Squad looks desperate for new blood and a refresh.

It did in the summer as well, and we decided to use that time to chase a deal that wasn’t there.

Rancid performance, thought hall and livra were decent, but other than that we were gash, missed Dan burn massively. We really struggle against teams who sit back and look to counter.

We are midtable ffs - we finished 7th.  Those teams will finish in and around us this year like last year.  Its hardly a giant killing to drop points to a team you finished five points ahead of or whatever it was a few month ago.

Who the fuck mentioned a giant killing? We're at home against a side who started the season poorly and whose manager is under pressure. They made us look bang average man, it's woeful.

Howe knows how to counter and setup against teams that want to attack and come out , if we don't score early against sides that sit in more and look to counter us his tactics are exposed. He made some bad calls the night , and as much as we can curse the momentum kill of the international break you could take the view he's had two weeks to get the side ready for this . West Hams tactics weren't exactly radically different from the Moyes era let Antonio hold it to give time for players to get out (although  Paqueta was class the night). Hope Eddie's had a good look at things for Palace and Liverpool. As tonight is the sort of performance that if repeated a few times a season gets you sacked.

All it is is we've hit a glass ceiling, momentum completely gone because of the new rules. Can want to replace Howe and scream at and about the players but its not changing.

Need to either try and enjoy it for what it is, wrap in or be melancholic as fuck about it (where I'm at) because shit as it may be this is it unless things change in the courts. Certainly there's nothing we can do about it. We've already had a manager punch us above our level and if we get another that too will inevitably level out like this has.

Were upper midtable, West Ham are mid-midtable and this is a standard result and game that reflects that as will the final table.

Second half we had a forward line which cost over £140m being ‘fed’ by a midfield which cost about the same.  Money has been spent - a lot of it.

Aye, we've been bereft of any clinical finishing or sharpness all season. First 10min we were all over them, Souček free header against the run of play, we lose our collective shit for the next 15min. Then ease back into controlling the game and can't find the back of the net on some very decent chances. Waiting for the big name lads to find their past form is the most frustrating part of this season.

To the extent we were poor in front of goal but we worked into good positions, I don't think they managed to keep us wide and out of danger until we conceded the midfield. I just don't think West Ham have the players to hit you on the break like Brentford, Forrest, or Bournemouth do, granted I haven't seen them much.

The lack of transfer activity has led to a really unbalanced squad. We're crying out for a 6, 10 and RW. Howe's inability to get Tonali into the team is really frustrating. He isn't a bench player, he needs minutes.
