I normally cringe when I see Murphy on the team sheet but I thought he did more than ok.  That lob over the keeper should have hit the net like.

Thought he should of ploughed into the keeper and got the cunt sent off.

I don’t think that this game adds anything to any of that debate.  Players self-motivate for games like this.  The Leicester and Ipswich matches will do more to tell us if a corner is turned.

Not entirely true, if it was then good teams wouldn’t smash poorer teams so much. Has an element of truth of course.

Cannot believe he's blown there man. Did Isak take 5 seconds to line up that fee kick like? Incompetent cunts man.

Can’t believe the commentator said the first half wasn’t memorable…It was for us, we were class.

Eh?  I would have thought a neutral would've been reasonably entertained by that.  We had a deserved lead over a team who are top of everything, and there wasn't anything smash-and-grab about it.

This is why I tune the tiresome cunts out.  Can't we just get Barry Davies back on, with the occasional comment by someone reasonably well informed?

They’re as tapped as Arsenal fans.

Thing is, you know where Arsenal fans got it from. It was years of Wenger complaining about every challenge against them, years of him making out that they were hard done by, and that they were the victims.

With Liverpool fans there is no visible starting point. It’s like their fan base is recruited solely from paranoia support groups. They are devoid of reality, they don’t see anything any other way, and they don’t want too. You can talk to them rationally, and they still think that you are the monster at the door trying to get at them.

True. We need to pick up two wins the next three games really if we want to go places.

Good thing is those teams will not want to play us after watching that. It may change their approach. I just wish we'd go to these places and try and smother them like we did tonight.

The actual scousers who follow them have the paranoia that Liverpool as a city has been shat on for decades, and therefore so has their football club.  And tbf their paranoia absolutely holds water:

The legions from Truro, Tromsø and Tripoli etc are sad-sack glory-seekers who have a sense of entitlement because they only followed the club because of the weird ego-boost they get from 'following' a winning team, so when they fail to win it seems to directly impact their ego.  They can collectively be ignored for being a weird collection of micro-dick sad cases.

What a game... could've had 3 points but could've lost as well. My (neutral) friend texted me saying that was one of the best games he has seen in years.

I dont understand the Pope criticism regarding their first goal though... it was a deflection. What can he possibly do?

At 2-2, with 15 minutes left, you should always be trying to score the goal over getting the keeper sent off and getting a freekick that will likely mount to nothing.

You talk to Liverpool fans in real life?

Mate, this region itself gets fucking shit on all over, in fact in recent years we have been what on even more for the benefit of Liverpool, in the sense of losing the European capital of culture bid which the judges even said we deserved to win, or how they allowed the port of Liverpool expand at the expense of the Port of Tyne expanding.

At the end of the day, when emotions settle down, I think people from here are much more rational than those from Liverpool.

I know the NE has been shafted for decades too.  Doesn't make the scousers wrong.

Horrible set of cunts they are, only time I have felt threatened of my life at a football match was when one of the cunts pulled a knife on me in the cup match in 84. Their neighbours are not much better either.

I went to an away match at Anfield once, and our fans were singing in the concourse at half time, and there was loads of police there, and they were just looking at us as if they were waiting for anything to excuse themselves for coming in hard on us. I saw the look on the face of one officers in particular, and just turned to go back into the stands instead of getting anything from kiosk or going to the toilet. I remember thinking that we were lucky they never found that excuse to make that move, and from a club/city that has been on the receiving end of police brutality as well.
