Just watching that first goal back, I can't believe the Man United defence (Namely the Butcher) just let Isak, the most inform striker in the league, have about 5 yards of uncontested space at the edge of the 6 yard box only 3 minutes into the game

Carragher did a good piece on it after the game. He couldn’t see the ball coming in, so rather than go goalside he did the opposite and left Isak. Second goal he was weak also.

While he did say those words across the whole interview it wasn't all one or 2 sentences as that quote suggests it.

Sorry but I hate selective quoting across twitter and this place nowadays.

He did say basically that exact sentence mid way through the interview.

I feel like 3 CBs is the most difficult formation for defenders to manage, more potential for the forward to get into the gaps between and around the sides.

So did Gordon.

Worst part about it was him having to go back to the bench after storming off because Brexit Jim doesn’t turn the hot water on in the changing rooms until after full time.

Still flying from this result, I'm only disappointed that it wasn't a 5 or 6 goal smashing. Couple this with my pishy Scottish team finally sacking the useless management duo and my depression has lifted somewhat.

I thought Zirkee was like a 35 year-old journeyman nearing retirement with how casual he looks. Couldn’t believe he was a young lad

Weird signing though, hasn’t scored a lot of goals anywhere.

Yep, first time I saw him play for Man U earlier in the season, said to my son that he looked like a Sunday League player... lumbering about, socks round his ankles, looked to be carrying some timber, and hadn't really heard much of him, so thought he had come through their academy or something. Not a new £36m signing.

I so loved that 1st half hour last night. Gary Neville admitting Man U were getting a hammering. Home fans disgruntled and on their teams backs. Confidence and belief coursing through our side. I was greedily disappointed we didn't turn the screw and beat them by more but suppose that's a sign of how the last month has went. HWTL!

Still trying to absorb this result and the way we started the game, we were flying from the first whistle. We clicked straight into a rhythm they couldn't cope with and we just blew them away so quickly and so easily that it's a good a start to the game as the first 25 mins of Spurs H 2 years back. Hell of a lot of focus being placed on how shit Man U were, and they 100% were, but not enough credit given to us for essentially ragdolling them about for half an hour to the extent that he had to sub one of them and change his team around before it got really out of hand. Can't remember going to a huge club/ground away from home and just dominating them like that. Humiliating stuff

As soon as they did change it they looked a little better but the early goals dictated the pattern and tempo of the last hour. We had 2, didn't need any more and could sit back and allow them to come out and we could then hit them on the counter. I think it was a conscious decision and even then, we got hold of the ball with about 65 mins on the clock and kept it beautifully for basically 10 or 15 mins and that spell killed them off completely. They huffed and puffed but created barely anything of note. Teams have done that to us many times but the roles were reversed and it was fantastic to watch

Spurs A next and even a point here would be canny. To get 3 from Vila and 3 from Man U in a week is a boost, another win away at Spurs would make it a perfect run but realistically we might drop a level and that would probably be expected. No reason why we can't go there and go toe to toe with them but stringing PL wins together past 4, 5, 6 off the spin is extremely tough. The fixtures get a little nicer after Spurs, we look full of confidence and we'll give anyone in the league a good game atm :)

Only managed the first minute of that, but if I was a Man Utd fan I suspect I would absolutely despise her.

She's very knowledgeable TBF, does a lot of content about the PL and it's pretty decent. Better analysis than on Sky anyway.

Hadn't realised this...

Bromley (h)

Wolves (h)

Bournemouth (h)

Southampton (a)

Fulham (h)

Before Feb. No gimmies obviously and it's a busy schedule. But shit, that's a hell of an opportunity to really emphasise this push for the European places. You'd certainly wouldn't expect us to lose any one of them.

Looking at that run I'd take a point at Spurs and any sort of useful results in the cups.

Would be good to get some fresh blood in to keep cultivating that good feeling.

Completely agree, seems to actually enjoy football as a whole unlike the theatrics of Goldbridge and his cringe inducing live streaming.

Then I apologise for my initial view of her (still not gonna listen like). But it’s the blatant inflammatory language used, like complaining about Chelsea giving “relegation rivals” Ipswich three points, that immediately turned me against her. Although I suppose that kind of OTT bollocks is how you get on in the YouTube world.

I've had my eye on that run for a little while. Was hoping we could get through Villa, Man U and Spurs unbeaten with at least one win and then push on. In saying that, Fulham and Bournemouth are both having excellent seasons, and Cunha will now be nice and rested when we play Wolves.

Great opportunity though.

Schar’s suspended for Spurs and Arsenal, not Wolves.

We played at 70% for 20 minutes and should have scored 4 in that time. Then we cruised the rest of the game and gave them two chances through our own fucking about. Of course we could have gone at them for the entire game, but they were more solid once they brought on a midfielder who can actually run around a bit. Still felt like if they got it back to 2-1 we'd have stepped it up and got a few more. Hopefully everyone is well rested for spurs on Saturday.

Yeah, when they mentioned him missing two games I had forgotten about the league cup suspension and presumed that it was his one game five yellow suspension with one on top (as you get an extra game if you've been banned before in the season).

Need to check that.
