Arsenal 0-2 Newcastle United (07/01/25)

"Sure, but I see too much eagerness to win set pieces. In my opinion, you can’t be a beautiful, free flowing attacking team like we used to identify Arsenal as whilst also trying to be the strongest team at set pieces. It doesn’t go hand in hand. It’s an identity crisis.
I’m not on about individual results I’m on about the bigger picture. We are sacrificing our identity2

You have an identity. Stoke wannabes.

In fairness, as soon as I saw the matchball I said there'd be problems. You just don't have a clue how its gonna react or fly, or where its gonna go when you hit it.

Just had a look at Arsenal’s games between now and the 2nd leg:

Sun 12th - Man Utd (h) - FA Cup

Wednesday 15th - Spurs (h) - PL

Sat 18th - Villa (h) - PL

Wed 22nd - Zagreb (h) - UCL

Sat 25th - Wolves (a) - PL

Wed 29th - Girona (a) - UCL

Sun 2nd - Man City (h) - PL

Tue 5th - NUFC (a)

That’s a brutal schedule playing majority competitive teams.

The most ‘emotional’ fan base in the country , it’s fantastic we bully them and play them off the park every time we meet. They are scared of the return leg already & they should be!

Weird little fucknugget.

I’m sure the return leg is on a Wednesday.

That little cunt is the biggest whopper on that Arsenal channel by miles, and it's a crowded field!

He was on one of The Overlap fan debate things a few years ago saying how important it was to finish fourth, then when the Spurs guy who was there said something about them finishing in the top 4 for a few years when Arsenal didn't it suddenly became "It doesn't matter we won the FA Cup blud...", proper lost his mind. A couple of things - to note from the TV last night -

Seemed very bias (as always to the 'southern' team), but this could be considered the home team - so perhaps in the 2nd leg we'll get the same kind of bias (doubt it).

Sam Fuckerface always seemed to be 'reporting the virtues of the arsenal players when moving with the ball etc, yet when we had the ball - nothing - fat faced fucker.

Also, and this made me laugh, in the second half, about 60 mins - Big Joe gets knocked to the ground - Fuckface then says something like - 'The arsenal fans aren't happy - there have been lots of decisions going against them' - Like fuck - from what i remember that was the first one.

Lee Dixon - colour blind as normal - though he did have some un-bias things to say from time to time - esp for Isak's goal - lot's of shirt pulling etc - he said that was part of the game.

The sound was awful - I don't know where fuckface was sitting - but to me it sounded like he was in the home end - could from time to time just hear the away fans - probably sound faded out.

Onwards....

The interviewer comes across as a canny kid, but that tiny tot, what a knob.

Not a fan of these baiting videos, they're a bit cringe inducing and a precursor to a mighty fall

Like I said in a well earlier post - watched it with the sound right down after about 20 mins - southern fucker bias.

Note - To me anything below the M4 corridor is Southern before anyone harps on about me being from South Cheshire.
