I'd like to see what sanusi's got to offer.

Absolutely. We're crying out for a player who can dribble and take on his man. Hasn't happened once that half.

As you'd expect really.

Would hope some of the players stepped up a bit more to try and stake a claim to being a first team starter but no evidence of that whatsoever today.

Lot of players have barely played in ages so there's a lot of rustiness. Desperately lack a bit of flair in the squad.

Still think we should swap the wingers over for a bit and tell them to just get to the byline. Almiron's game on the right is based on quick one twos behind the defence and that really doesn't work against a low block. We get to the corner of the box and then just turn round and go back! Get down the touchline, get a couple more in the box and start drilling it across.

Lovely hit by Miley. Dubravka's much better when the opposition don't shoot on target.

I don't think Miley's done anything wrong, lovely goal too

This will end 5-1.  Put a bet on.  😉

I think this will end up comfortable, too. A few boots up the arse from Howe and Tindall at HT will do the trick.  Our biggest issue has being so lackadaisical first half.

A been out of the team Longstaff starting at 6 was never going to look great tbh [emoji38]

He's not playing the 6, but he should be.

He's the right side 8 and is struggling being further forward against the low block.

Not seeing any passes and can't control the ball well enough with people around him.

Miley is at the 6, aand I'd switch him with Longstaff.

Miley is far more likely to make something happen further forward.

This might be a complete knee jerk but whenever we need to make wholesale changes we go to shit. Is this just something Howe struggles with? Thinking back to last season and the extra champions league games. Not having quality to bring in probably doesn’t help btw.

We've always know Longstaff is a confidence player who needs a run of games. It's no surprise he's got rust to shake off.

That makes him kinda useless for us now tbh, if thats the case.

Just a rusty performance from players who haven't played much.

Some good ones in there too, Schar, Trippier, Targett and Miley have done well.

Have you people never seen Longstaff play? I thought his strenghts and weaknesses were fairly well known by now. We're never seeing the best of him in a game like this. Genuinely curious what you expect of him. To turn into Iniesta just because we're playing Bromley?

He's had a rough first half I'll admit, but the pile on is a bit embarrassing.

To trap a football, see a pass, play it forward with a degree of speed and courage?

In these kind of games against low blocks you really want your wide forwards to excel one Vs one. This game is really showcasing the limitations of Barnes and Miggy in that regard.

To be fair, just saw the starting line up and havnt been watching for the most part after their goal. If this is the case just change my quote to ‘a out of the team Longstaff at 8 was never..’ [emoji38]

Yep. Miggy is buzzing about energetically, I'll give him that, just not ever going to produce a decent cross from the right.
