should some of today's results go out way ( unlikely though) then we will get away with murder, and hopefully Howe will get a grip again.

You can hardly lose your grip after one defeat after 9 wins

They were miles off it from the first minute for whatever reason. They’ve been on a great run and it was going to happen eventually. But how the three subs came on and managed to be even worse was incredible.

History repeats and once again I thought in game management was poor, let's see how he does over the next 9 games.

Really important to look at yesterday's result in context. I'd be fine to sit through that every tenth game if we were as strong, consistent and powerful in the nine that preceded it. Other than Tonali they all seemed a bit off it, so hopefully just a blip and we have a great chance to get back on track at Southampton.

We were absolutely ran over by a very good team. Someone else said it further up the thread but on paper "Bournemouth (H)" is viewed as a gimme, when they're now an almost nailed on top 10 team with their squad and manager.

This isn't too often a problem thanks to how well we take the initiative and score first, but I absolutely hate watching us at home when we're chasing a deficit. West Ham and yesterday in particular, we were an absolute dream to play against in the second half. Fair bit of possession, absolutely no cut and thrust or creativity, slack final passes, gaps left all over the pitch and frittering away our own time. I don't pin that on Eddie entirely as I don't think we have the squad options for it, but he could really do with a drastically different "Plan B" option for those kind of scenarios.

Think I recall Eddie saying it a while ago but adding to the squad is an important exercise just due to keeping the group fresh and removing a stale feeling, before you consider what they can actually add from a footballing perspective. I think that even one new face could really help us in that regard for the second half of the season. Hopefully Mitchell and co can figure us something out.
