On a similar note would be class if the club hired helicopters and flew round London blasting this :

LNER should also be playing it on every train down.

As long as we join West Brom, Middlesbrough, QPR,  Luton, Stoke, Swindon, Oxford, Swansea, Blackburn and Leeds on the wiki table for 'one time League Cup winners', I'm happy

^yes, it would be an honor to join that group on Sunday.

I know what you mean, but if we win the media will forever be chucking in ‘the trophy that Newcastle won because…xxx was injured’, obviously that doesn’t work the other way (if we lose)

Couldn’t give a fuck. Just want a trophy.

I'm not confident at all but if I'm taking confidence from something, it was that Joelinton looks to have regained some form. He was very busy against West Ham and he will be key to stopping Liverpools midfield.

It'd be bloody marvelous if we didn't give up a customary cheap as fuck early chance here.

Liverpool are one of the few teams who can produce a goal from nowhere with a bit of Salah magic for example. But it would be nice if they were made to earn it. I expect Howe will go in with the attitude let's not worry about them and get after them instead. Admirable approach in some ways, but in a toe to toe shootout they have the bigger guns.

I’d dearly love this squad/manager to win the trophy that ends the curse. Don’t think we’ve had a squad like this that is entirely likeable both on and off the pitch since about 1995. They’ve also really played out of their skins for a good few years now so they do deserve it.

It’ll also be the last chance this squad will get since there (presumably) will be a large overhaul in the summer. Howay the lads.

Hopefully they turn up on Sunday thinking the game is already won - you could hardly blame them as we have basically rolled over for them every single time for the last decade or so.

If there was ever a time to beat these cunts.
