Spurs have some loons as well, but will be isolated bits of bother with the gobby arrogant scouse cunts.

Not to indulge in lazy stereotypes but I'll have one hand on my ticket all weekend

Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll finally be the day Van Dijk isn't allowed to elbow people so we can play against 10 men

I mean it didn’t help last time that happened

Think we’ll be bang up for it and can beat anyone on our day.

Liverpool have already been chosen by the FA and media, they always get away with everything, must be the 'luckiest' dirty team going.

Absolutely nice for me who has applied for a ticket to every home cup match in the ballot and lost out on them all. I obviously couldn’t get a ticket for the away match as I’m only a Mags+ member.

Your own fault for not winning the ballot tbh.

Main reason I'm more confident this time is that I'm hoping the final isn't the occasion in itself. Last time the players were watching videos of their relatives saying how proud they were etc and all that stuff is lush but it's surely an emotional drain. I want them to go into this with less noise and pressure and to play with confidence and with all of the inexperience of the Man United final behind them.

I don't expect us to win, Liverpool have the players and prestige to have been there and done that when it comes to finals and clutch moments in high pressure situations, and we don't have that. What I do expect us to do though is compete, and I know that when we compete we have as good a chance as anyone.

Same. It really feels different this time in that I don’t think that’s all consuming like in 2023. Being in the ground on Wednesday it didn’t feel like the last time when there was this huge relief at holding onto a lead or the pressure and somewhat ‘desperation’ to reach a final. We wanted to win the game and went about jobs with great professionalism.

Also, I actually think it being Liverpool in the final gives us far more tactical clarity and stops the naïveté of the final against Man Utd.

Great post and totally agree.

Also, applause for the diacritics.

If we give it everything and it isn't enough, fine. Please not another no show though.

This is the key. If we get beaten by the better team then fine but if it’s another limp performance.

I don't like the fact we play them away first where they will be strong favourites to win, so it  could get into our players heads.  In the unlikely event we get a positive result there the reverse could be true however.  The irrational part of my brain tells me we have more agony before winning something, we are yet to be denied the agony of being in front in a final or at Wembley in my 5 visits, but i'm trying to stay calm about this one and enjoy the weekend regardless as we shouldn't have to wait too long to go back, which I also said after last time.

Yeah. I was sober as a judge two years ago but I can't remember a thing about the game. I feel like we started with some aggression but it was game over in no time at all, with not a chance to speak of.

I’m actually quite confident we will. Whether it will be enough I have no idea.

I’m more worried about injuries or suspensions derailing us.

If we can sort out how to keep salah quiet "we can win this" as Michael Caine said famously. So gordon or big joe need to help hally.

We've shown we can score and cause problems for there defence.

Anything can happen in a final, except us winning…sorry but I’ve been burned a few times too many

May as well call it a day now then. So you won’t be going or watching? What a time to be alive. Such hope you have. At some point in life luck has to change. Nothing is written, all possibilities lay on the table. Believe. [emoji38]

If we turn up and do ourselves justice then I can see us scoring a couple of goals, defensively keeping them at bay will be difficult... but we've got a real chance...

Didn’t we draw with them 3-3 and if it wasn’t for the refs corrupt whistle we could have had our 4-3 revenge. We can match and better these on the day. We can!

Not just me then  My only memory is an old woman several rows away admonishing my mate for calling the referee a twat because there was a kid nearby, and the kid's dad turning round and saying "Nah, you're right, he is a twat."

Id set up exactly like we did against Arsenal. Go man for man in the midfield, if we win that battle we can win any game and our midfield is capable of winning any battle.

Liverpool are capable of conceding goals. If we can get ourselves ahead, I think we are capable of battening down the hatches.

Don't think for a second that Liverpool will fancy us. Nowt worse than a game when you know the opposition is going to fight for their lives.

Problem for me would be dan burn and hall against salah, we really need a bit of pace there.

Maybe three up on him with Gordin coming back

Either Joelinton plays and drops in to help the CB and LB or we play an extra CB like we did against Arsenal.
