[League Cup Final] Newcastle United Vs. Liverpool - 16/03/25 (Live on ITV & Sky)

Might just be because I'm not even after tickets right now due to family reasons, but I feel like this could and should be a separate thread tbh. I know the discussion of heavily linked to the game itself, but this is a Cup Final thread, would be nice if we could keep it to the game itself IMO.

Just so you know, seasonal hospitality clients have also had their allocation more than halved (I.e. people with boxes).

Last time around, each box got the same number of seats for Wembley as their box held. So if you had an 8-seater, you’d get 8 tickets etc.

This time it is a maximum of 4, regardless of box size.

Even 16 and 22 seater boxes are only being allowed to take 4, which is causing a bit of (unnecessary IMO) uproar.

That in itself sits fine and well with me, but the seats that are no longer going to hospitality clients are NOT going to the general fan base / ST holders… annoyingly they’re going to sponsors. Addidas, Sports Bet, Sela etc. They’ve all taken a chunk.

What did it mean on the email when it said that though we're getting fewer tickets this time, they've managed to give more to fans? Have players and staff had their amount reduced too?

The total allocation is about 700ish less than last time. How they’ve split that up, this time or last, remains a secret. Although going off what @Shadow Puppets has said, there’s obviously been a significant(ish) reduction in hospitality.

Can anyone confirm whether the tickets will be paper or digital ?

The club's correspondence seemed to imply paper (post out date) but Liverpool's were all digital last year.

Wasn’t it the case that Man Utd’s were all digital when ours were all paper?

That was before we had any home digital ticketing like, so were miles behind the top clubs. Probably still are.

Doesn’t really answer your question like, as not seen it confirmed anywhere?

Yeah, as a club we only went to digital season tickets last season. I thought they'd be digital now but the club info talks about a post out date 7 days before the final ??

It’s important that the touts have tickets to sell.  Sorry, I mean that the corporate sponsors have loads of tickets they can give to disinterested UK-based staff.

Sometimes it’s so easy to get confused.

Agreed it seems like an odd choice.

In my opinion, if you're going to take allocation away from seasonal hospitality clients (who are, in the vast majority, proper NUFC fans who just happen to have a bit more money / a business), that allocation should be going to the general match going public. What's the benefit at all of giving a load (over half) to sponsors?

I’d imagine it’s all to do with what’s contracted?

We’ll give you X amount a season and if you get to a final you have to give us X tickets?

Although you’d think most of our sponsors have bigger fish to fry than getting a few extra tickets for staff/customers.

Hearing some strange tales this morning about who's received emails and who hasn't and a lot of it bears no resemblance to what the club info stated yesterday regarding inclusion in the LC ticket scheme, number of LC matches attended etc.

Anyone else having issues with the NUSC's website? Trying to book the green man pub through their website and I just cannot get on at all.

I had to be patient, used desktop as mobile refused to work.  Was very slow going from section to section.  Eventually got to checkout & it took money out but said there was a problem with processing order!  Got confirmation email 5 mins later however.  Downloaded the ticket, via the email - took about 2 minutes but got it

Any truth in the rumour that this is kicking off at 8pm since there are already two London derbies scheduled for that day?

Very much doubt it
