But this game is gone. You protect your best players. Every manager in the world does it. But you know this.

Would rather have took Sandro off if that’s the case. I think he took Bruno off cos he was shite.

We’ve just sold Lloyd Kelly to Juventus - where he starts.  BDB looked twice the player.

Might be, but that does not mean he is good on the ball. He is awful with it.

But I like the man.

They are very good in possession and we can't get anywhere near them. Marmoush brings pace and Savinho trickery. We weren't at the races today. Would have needed the first goal.

No point bringing Wilson on and leaving Isak there.

Apart from Willock for Krafth, I'd have done the same.

Trippier has been a disaster mind. Lesson learned there. Has to be Tino.

I'd have had Miley and Tino in to start.

Whole team came out scared to fart though. Got to be the easiest game Citeh have had all season.

Yes, but in saying this, you also see how in this game we came at it differently to how we like to play, and how teams who have got points of Man City this season have played?

My arguement would be that the best sides can bring 2/3 players in to keep physicality and motivation at a higher level. We have to go time and time again with players who just aren't good enough on the bench.

Perhaps a fair criticism of Howe isn't being bolder in his selection, could he have played Wilson and Isak or Osula just to give them something different to think about?

Those would be points I'd make.

I agree he’s not the best on the ball, and that has been a longstanding issue with English centre halves.  But BDB is an underrated footballer for me - and this is Man City’s forward line he’s up against, and he’s surrounded by a LB having a ‘mare and sat behind a midfield which hadn’t offered much protection

It's got to be a worry for the cup final mind, how many times have we went behind and looked clueless on how to muster a chance nevermind a goal.

We’re third in points won from losing positions [emoji38]

I agree. It's also weird how Schar keeps getting a pass, when in reality he's had an average year by his standards.

‘Bad day at the office’ for me.  I can understand why Howe would’ve been tempted to do what he did first half after the Arsenal LC match but it backfired.   I really don’t want to see Trippier starting PL matches anymore.
