Manchester City 4-0 Newcastle United - 15/02/2025

Pathetic. In the posh seats and the highlight of my day is I've just seen Paul Mitchell getting the badge in.

Miley was good second half.

We got that badly wrong from the start tactically but the players have to look at themselves, didn't lay a glove on them at all.

Miley was good and should be fourth choice centre mid and potentially third choice. The rest were poor except maybe Tino and Tonali (let himself down for the fourth).

We will play like this until the final I reckon, could be out of the race for CL by then. Forest next week concerns me if we play like this again.

Not a good day at all but similar performances as against Fulham and Bournemouth. I can accept losing but we barely tried at all to get things moving, accepted defeat. We are at our best when we are aggressive and decisive moving it forward. When we did get the ball we fucked it up

Until we have better core defence than Schar, Burn and Dubravka then we always risk these results. Those three are costing us at the moment.

Harsh on Burn as he’s performing better than expected, but he has quite a low ceiling when it comes to expectations.

Cursed ground strikes again but that was still woeful capitulation. Team selection was wrong. Trippier might have been the correct call when we needed his experience to overcome nerves when 2-0 up against Arsenal, but he's well past his best, was a poor choice today, and got crucified. The rest of them weren't much better, esp. in central midfield.

Fulham was a weird game but City today and Bournemouth outplayed us start to finish. We played with no authority at all and couldn't even manage a decent ten-minute spell.

Not at all. The same

Good decision in the end, then.

3 defeats in 4, 11 goals conceded. Fairly crap performances all round in the league so far in 2025. If there’s a mentality issue still there regarding big game(s) on the horizon we won’t win a thing. Proper small time.
