I need to save all the videos before I lose them. There were a couple of crackers of our end when we score the second.

Maybe my favourite. No commentary, just the roar and see our end

Being part of it, man. What a privilege.

I genuinely hope that anyone reading this gets the chance to experience something similar in future. It was pure euphoria like nothing I'd ever experienced before.

Sadly it can't ever be experienced again mate, that feeling of winning our first trophy after such a long wait can never be repeated, once in a lifetime moment!

I will remember the feral scream from everyone around me when Joe tackled the ball out and got up screaming for the rest of my life.

Whilst true, the next thing we win will also be a once in a lifetime moment. And I hope others that weren't there this time get to sample it!

After seeing that Arse got £100m from their champions league campaign, and that City and Chelsea are set for £50m minimum for the club world cup nonsense, delighted to learn we earned £182,000 from our Carabao Cup winning run

Been watching the highlights again and the Full-Time Celebration video featuring Peter Sandberg's "Dismantle" (cheers for the resource, whoever it was,  ).

I haven't really gone into much detail about our cup final experience. More out of respect for Mrs G's unwavering sense of privacy than anything else but am minded to share a bit. FWIW

Her Mam, an amazingly warm, generous and hugely entertaining woman, had dementia kick in a few years ago. Signs were there at a time we moved her from her house into a lovely bungalow but she slowly diminished before our very eyes from then on. If any consolation was to be had it is that at her, ultimate demise, she was under her own roof with her loved ones around her, whom she still remembered at the end.

She loved her sport. Rugby and football, mainly. We'd have her and her long term partner around for every Newcastle match. She, most definitely would have been here for the final.

As it was she took a huge downturn the week prior. This was expected as she'd stopped eating and drinking. Mrs G took time of work and stayed overnight whilst her sister and M-in-L's partner (they never lived together, as it goes) covered the days.

Cup final day came and we both watched it here. Surreal as it was we both lapped it up as much as anyone of us that day. Bruno's post-match interview about 70 years of waiting, some dying in the lingering. Particularly poignant, of course.

On her way up to her Mam's she dropped me off at the Metro for my futile trip into town to catch up with my drunken brother and our pal from York. Despite missing them I still enjoyed a taste of the euphoria but, by the time I'd walked up to St.James to meet some other family, my heart wasn't in it. Had a beer in the Haymarket, bus home, watched the first half again and went to bed.

Mrs G had gone to her Mam's, took over from the others and sat by her bed for a bit. Her Mam was very very weak, drifting a bit but mostly sleeping. At one point, however, she woke up and the wife says....

"Mam, Newcastle won the cup!!!"

"eeeh, never, I don't believe you" came the faint reply

On the evening of the following Tuesday 3 of her Grandchildren were sat around her bed, saying their goodbyes, as it were. The subject of our Cup win came up, 1 of the Grandkids is Man U through and through.

"Mam, tell him about Newcastle winning the Cup"

"yes, I know. First one I've missed as well"

She passed away Thurs morning.

Bruno knew the crack :smitten:

Has to be said, by the way, that our injecting our eyes and ears with all that glorious Cup Final content was a massive help those post-final 2 weeks.

And there was me thinking I was all out of final related tears. Fucker!

Memories of my nan, lost a long old time ago to the same rancid disease. Always made a corn beef pie for my dad, grandad and I every time we came back from the match when I was a kid. Ate it as quick as I could and ran down the road to grab the pink. Would have loved them both to have seen that day.

Seen the price of corned beef now man [emoji38]

Absolutely loved a homemade pie off of the Granny or Aunty. Proper pastry as well. My Aunty Mary made me a ham n egg pie to eat the night Groundhog Jnr entered the world. Wolfed it down with 4 cans of Carling. Sadly a Wednesday so had to miss out on the Football Pink

Was expecting some kind of film from the club after they'd asked for all the fan footage

Unless I've been asleep and missed it...

I still watch that Immortals video on Youtube at least once a week like. Odds are we will win another trophy but nothing will compare to that win and that video hits you in the feels every time.

I noticed the Sky Sports highlights on youtube have 1.9 million views, versus 1.3 million for the previous year's final, despite that being up a full year longer

edit:

And the previous year has 960k after over 2 years.

This is amazing!

That's absolutely brilliant. That's what football is all about, not finishing 4th or 5th in the league. I'll never forget that feeling in the stadium at 90+11 minutes. It was insane and 1000 rivers of tears all around. Fuck CL, give me a cup final trophy every time 😁
