The timing is odd but I assume it's because Sela want it to be dark for drones, light shows and all that.

Even people who aren’t an alcoholic would have a beer stood in a field all day celebrating wouldn’t they?

 

Police are fine with us blocking off all of Covent Garden and standing with cans but we can’t take some into a massive field. Rubbish.

Council website states "As part of the celebrations a parade will be taking place from St James’ Park to the Town Moor between 16:00 to 18:00" which seems more likely to be accurate rather than the bus taking 30 minutes to get from SJP to Town Moor

Your last word probably highlighted one of the issues if alcohol was allowed. That and the chucking of it in the air as well as the ground.

 

Sadly too many scruffy people these days.

Maybe it’s because I’m off the pop, but I’m really not that arsed about the lack of alcohol. It’s a few hours on a field. Hardly embarking on the twelve steps.
