It's the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, it's the radgie in the tree, the charvas on the lampposts, it's the small boy clambering up the wall of Oxfam to get the best view for gawping at the scenes below.

I hope the players really got a sense of what they've done and what it means to us, if they didn't already.

There's some overly-sentimental guff about us in the media sometimes, but I really think we're special in what the club means. The one club for a football-obsesed city is a big part of it. My mam isn't a football fan but she started to cry.

For me its the one local thing that everyone can be proud of. Big industries have gone, local areas have been left to rot by successive cunts in suits. Yet the civic pride and togetherness is still there. You have radgies with their pants tucked in to their socks, standing and singing side by side to posh boys from Gosforth. At heart Geordies are kind caring people who want to help others. It's just a shame there are so many people, from outside and within the area that look to divide us.

I feel the players do get it, they interact with people everyday and will have seen first hand how wonderful the people of the region are. That's what makes all of this extra special that we have a group of players and staff who get it. They're fucking class, but not massive twats. Can't wait to see what this success brings on and off the pitch. #united

Just got back in. Took the family today. 7 year old daughter and 5 month old son. What a day, it blew my expectations right out the water. Never known town so busy. Absolutely buzzing the same as cup final night! What a club and what a city man! Memories forever.

Great photo from William Osula's Instagram, and quite symbolic of how far we've come:

I've never known anything like it. Town was so busy the phone signal was absolutely fucked at times. Ridiculous

Some cracking imagery. Thought we might miss out on that given the route (as opposed the river, grey street etc.) but we did good with the car parks, windows, roof tops (never imagined it for some reason just a traffic light or two being mounted) and wor flags.

Didn't see much of the scenes on the Percy Street leg even though I was between the bus stations (came and left that way through Eldon) and was satisfied enough with the buzz and atmosphere in the town already.

What an amazing day from start to finish. Me and my mates stood opposite tesco on Percy Street from 3pm. Atmosphere was absolutely brilliant from the first moment we arrived until the last moment we left.

Memories forever.

We need to take a moment to appreciate the absolute legends abseiling down the sandman to unveil the banner.

Jesus christ man

What even are Wor Flags?

They weren't us like. Tbf. But we worked with them and had our 'normal' punters walking around that roof top doing the medial tasks that had to be done. Fucking shitting myself I was

Tha being said...about 10% credit to WF and 90% to Davey, Paul and Chris who were fucking phenomenal today. For me there involvement far outweighs any other depiction of NUfC today. Local lads doing what they do the local team and absolutely desperate to do WFs and the fans proud. Honestly I cannot even describe it enough...immense.
