Super Duper Branko Strupar Posted Thursday at 23:10 Share Posted Thursday at 23:10 That's a very muted walk back to the training room after such a result. That must be someone's decision.

Yorkie Posted Thursday at 23:12 Share Posted Thursday at 23:12 Aye, it's in all the shady bits. Feels like a hiding to nothing trying to deal with it.

Emotic Posted yesterday at 03:56 Share Posted yesterday at 03:56 Loved it how Joelinton was raging at being fouled (7.40 into the match cam) and Trippier had to literally scruff him as if he were a misbehaving kitten .

There’s something satisfying about watching “tricky” pen attempts utterly fail. Just run up and fucking smash it ffs

Ellis H
Surely kicking the ball as hard as possible into the bottom corner from a penalty has to be the easiest action in football? It’s a free shot with nobody anywhere near you. It’s definitely the most low effort/high reward thing.

Just run up and fucking smash it ffs Penalties are all about technique, and it isn’t necessary to put your laces through it. The stuttered run-up and the ‘Panenka’ rely on the other party making a mistake, rather than the technique of the taker; that’s their biggest failing. Neither are the result of good technique, but daft cunts will fawn over them when they come off as if it is the result of the quality of the player - they are the complete opposite. Superior Acuña
I feel like if you’re the best penalty taker at a premier league club you should be able to confidently hit it where it’s virtually certainly beyond the keeper, without any trickery. Clearly naive!
Sean
Penalties are about nerves/composure first, technique second. It's why you can see in some players' faces they've already missed before starting the run-up. Edited 2 hours ago by Sean
