Nice reminder of how much we need to invest in getting players like Murphy, Willock etc as far from the starting Xl as possible. I’m not 100% sure who is the answer between Gordon and Barnes but it certainly isn’t both of them. Watching Emery on the touchline was brilliant btw. Villa really got nothing all game. Nothing got to do with Joelinton being out, he makes it worse if anything, how he played as a forward is beyond belief. Gordon must go, went from talisman to sulking liability after whatever happened with the Liverpool offer. Hope to Christ Mitchell has a long list of youngsters because we need far more technical quality. And how, when we needed center backs, did we not go for Milenkovic. I can understand missing Hjuisen, I never heard of him. Milenkovic has been a solid defender for a very long time. Sick of the constant unforced errors in possession. Club Brugge will shit kick us in Champions League on recent performances if they are smart enough to not play from the back. Go long you nullify 90% of our threat. Being kind I'd argue that today was a side-effect of an absolutely mammoth season where we have fought and fought and fought to make up for ground lost in the Autumn.
