Our club really has Asian fans around the globe discussing our players. We're fucking huge.

I was chatting to a Portuguese chap during a video game on the headset and he had a foresnsic knowledge of the Newcastle squad and even brought up Lewis Miley.

Wouldn't stretch as far as outrageous, but a lovely little pass. Played two similar passes in the previous game as well right? Good that he looks to have something about him that isn't just getting his head down and dribbling

Haha yeah, Eddie hasn't got a fucking clue what he's doing

For all the success the club has had since the takeover, I'd say the jury is still out specifically on the youngsters we've brought in and their pathway to the first team

The loans aren't really down to Eddie to be fair

Not sure if that was in response to me but I've not mentioned him so there was no blame or responsibility squared towards Eddie for me

Just that the club seem to not really have a pathway for our supposedly talented youngsters especially ones we've imported - they're probably just not good enough for where we want to be but they've not inspired me with much confidence in being able to get it right with the decisions they've made.

Just some examples:

Kuol - two pretty bad loan moves to Scotland and Holland - didn't get near our first team squad

Pivas - barely played in Holland

Cordero - played less than 90 mins in total for Westerlo since joining them in the summer

Sanusi - hasn't kicked a ball in France

Hernes - relegated in Denmark, not kicked a ball in Holland

Alfie Harrison - hyped as a coup, not got near the first team or a loan away

Joe White - was getting some first team minutes for us then we decided to send him out to League 2 on loan for a season at the age of 22

Exceptions are:

Minteh - didn't play a game in our shirt but made a profit on him

Anderson - had to be sold sadly and is now flying

Miley - has been in the first team squad since the age of 17

This is probably one of the remaining hangovers from the previous lot. It takes a long time to find, sign and develop top 6 youngsters and it’s even more complicated when the person most involved in these things can’t hold down the job for very long.

Due to the huge, rapid progress on the pitch it’s easy to forget just how far behind we are/were in most areas, to the point where our last DOF before Ashworth was Joe Kinnear in 2013.

Lest we forget…
