Why do you believe we don’t have a collaborative approach ?

I think there’s very few people who have genuine insight into how our transfers are handled. The main person who’s spoken about it publicly is Mitchell and the consensus is that he’s a gobshite

Our transfer preferences appear to come from the manager. Our rival clubs aren't so fixated on premier league experience.

Pick a striker who is score more than 15 goals in any top 5 leagues and is below 24.

Alternatively pick someone younger. Who can develop.

Options exist.

Ive double checked and there is only 2 players who meets your criteria from the top 5 leagues

Benjamin Šeško (22) 21 Goals - Leipzeg

Nick Woltemade (23) 17 Goals – Stuttgart

Next best was

Emanuel Emegha (22) 14 Goals – Strasbourg

Mika Biereth (22) 13 Goals - Monaco

Nobody really knows shit about the inner workings, although admittedly losing two execs in short order doesn’t look great.

They are all paying top dollar for the most sought after strikers in the world though. It's not just about PL experience, otherwise we wouldn't have been chasing Ekitike.

Thanks for coming up with some targets, let's hope the club is on it.

We should never sign a striker from Monaco again. Ever.

i didnt mention exclusively, without those 4 names we wouldn't be sniffing champion's league.

We’ve shrewdly bought a blend of PL proven players and gems from other leagues

And it’s worked, we’ve built a squad that’s much greater than the sum of its parts, won a cup, CL twice in 3 years

I’d say our transfer policy is excellent, given the financial restrictions imposed on us

This “Howe only wants to buy PL” is a lazy cliche

And base any assumptions on what we’ve actually done, not what journos are claiming we’re trying to do, because what journos spread about transfer activity is mostly lies

Good job I didn't say the lazy cliche isn't it?

I think it's alreet to different on this one personally mind. As I said to Rich, let's wait and see what the Fee is and the contract length then we can draw more conclusions. After all 25m on a 5 year deal isn't too bad (unless the wage is mad)

45m on a 3 year deal would obviously be insane.

Isak replacement then.

On the bright side, he scored the same amount of non-penalty goals (19) as Isak last season. I think 40m is a no brainer. Probably need DCL too if Isak does leave

Will likely be a top young prospect I presume, and so would still be good to have a prem experienced option like Wissa alongside.

If Wissa is the clubs Isak replacement something has gone horribly wrong.

I'm not really seeing it as the Isak replacement. More so, I can see the Gaffa really insisting on PL experience rather than two imports. (Manchester United is the case study).

Obviously his overall game isn't as strong as Isak, but he had the same number of non-pen goals as Isak last season. If we're losing Isak we could do a lot worse than go into the season with Wissa as number 9. We'd need another as a rotation option though.
