We're a fucking embarrassment man, proper chance to build on what we've done so far and we've gone backwards. Lose Isak and not improve the squad we could genuinely be looking at a mid table finish next season.

That's not an overreaction either, we easily could finish there.

If you are talking about fans on here, then yeah.

There's alot of brinkmanship going on here. Absolutely no chance Wissa is a Brentford player next season. Hes gone full nuclear.

I know its not what anyone wants to hear but its one that could go on for ages.

What is concerning is how much all of our deals have played out in the media this summer, for the first couple of years under PIF we were so good at being quiet about it all. It really doesn’t help.

I’m going to put my neck on the line and say we will sign Wissa… I’m very very confident on this one.

They’re asking for £50m, but have a very unhappy player on their hands who won’t play for them again. We have “walked away / moved on” as a bargaining tactic, and in about a week a deal will all of a sudden be agreed for around £35m ish.

I don’t know why you guys insist on reacting like this to every tweet that gets put out like 😁

I suspect so too.

Brentford are a data-driven flipper club. Their model breaks down if players don't see them as good for career progression any more.

The other flipper club, Brighton, could have got mega bucks for Mac Allister but honoured their agreement to him. It keeps the production line going. Brighton's basic position is that everyone is replaceable.

Looks like a lot of our fans loves to revel in misery.

Honestly for me it's mainly group therapy. If I sit and think on this stuff for too long without getting it out it kills my soul.

Brentford don’t sell all that much in recent years. Since promotion they’ve only sold Toney prior to this summer.

Brentford’s model is a longer tail of development since being in the PL.

It will end up closer to £40m I reckon.

Well if he had a verbal agreement with the club that they broke I think its understandable.

Similar to Isak then, they signed their contracts,if their new demands aren't being met within the existing timeframe of that contract they start refusing to co-operate, nah not for me thanks

What agreement have we broken with Isak?

Possibly. My point is, it does none of us any good to overreact to every tweet, when there’s every chance a deal is agreed on this one, just maybe not as quickly as we’d like.
