Proper fucking weirdo behaviour that by Brentford.  The PL is full of absolute hoop-lickers for the Sky Six.  I kind of liked them (I’ve got a Brentford-supporting mate who is sound), but I’m increasingly of the view that the quicker the historically second- and third-tier clubs from down south are run out of the league and replaced with traditional big clubs from the north the better it’ll be.  At least they might have some fucking pride.

There was some talk that there were performance related add ons as part of Spurs agreement with Brentford to get Thomas Frank.

So the better Frank does at Spurs the more money Brentford get.

Probably has to do with that.

Not saying it isn’t true, but surely the PL couldn’t ratify that - there is huge potential for match rigging and all sorts with that kind of deal

It’s the wanting to sell to Spurs thing not wanting to sell him outright. I also hate the term but it seems proper cuck behaviour

They don't give a shit who they sell to. They are just trying to use Spurs to get us to bid higher given that they would probably rather not sell to anyone in the first place. Staying in the PL is worth far more to them. We are daft to be pursuing a deal where a club has no benefit in selling unless it's for a ruinous fee.

Similar add ons exist for player transfers don't they?

There is, but guess it’s the same with all transfers between PL clubs that have performance-related add-ons (which seems to be about 90% of transfers now).

They do, absolutely - but the potential for dodginess with a manager is far greater I’d think.

It will likely be tied to them making the Champions League again next year or something like that, and perhaps winning a cup too.

Much more likely if they send Wissa to Spurs to work with his former manager that is familiar with him.

Looks like Wissa isn't going for it at all though and really wants to join Newcastle.

Remember Spurs also went for Mbeumo and Man Utd had to deal with similar as Mbeumo only wanted to go to them.

Ended up dragging on for ages, so this is going to be tedious.

The window closes in a couple of weeks this surely has to have a deadline that doesn't mean by deadline day we need a gaurenteed replacement for Wilson as the other fucker can't  be arsed to play for the club.

Is there any explanation in the article as to why theyd rather sell to Spurs ?

If this really is the case, we need to move on, right now. No more negotiations, no more hesitation.

Seemingly, yet another striker saga, where we come away empty-handed. Its embarrassing.

Yeah, you'd imagine so.

Will probably give it till the end of the week and then sack it off if no progress.

Beginning to understand just a tiny bit more why Wissa is losing it.

Amen, the past few years has seen the rise of the spreadsheet shagging southern nonces whose raison d'etre is to herd and raise players for the cartel to eventually pick up once they're ready.

Boring clubs with gash fans in soulless, flat pack, copy and paste stadiums doing nothing but making up the numbers in the league and making their cartel worshipping owners even richer.

If the league is going to be full of Southern teams, fine, at least give us some mad lads like Millwall, Pompey or Wimbledon

That’s right - and I wonder if Spurs should be a bit concerned that Frank has went in for two former players and they both would rather sign for other clubs - to the extent that Wissa is acting like an arse to get to NUFC …

Can't prove its not happening but right now I would hedge my bets and go in and bid/enter discussions of the top 3 say choices worse case they all say yes and we burn bridges with that club backing out of it.

Feels like once again 100% focus is being given on a very difficult deal/reluctant seller/fee gap and other options are parked and monitored incase it shouldn't work out.

A lot of these clubs I couldn’t have cared less about in the last few years but didn’t actively hate them. However, Brighton, Palace and Brentford especially are fucking rancid  the way they carry on in the transfer market. Pathetic no mark clubs that need to be fucked off out the league as soon as possible

Yeah, that's what's quite surprising about this whole thing.

Spurs are in the Champions League and can offer as much money but neither player seemingly wanted to link back up with Frank.

Even with Spurs being in the supposedly impossible to turn down London area, and it meaning they wouldn't have to move.

It seems both Mbeumo and Wissa have some kind of affinity for both Man Utd and Newcastle respectively.

Spurs should be telling Wissa about how other Belgian players like Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele have historically thrived there.

We can similarly point to the likes of Phillipe Albert and Mats Selz.

we should tell Wissa that the real ones out on the inter webs loved wor Chancellor Mbemba, the Kinshasa born kid who developed at Anderlecht but was beloved by NO forum faithful and various seats in the Gallowgate end. We equally love and respect French African or Belgian Congolese football players who rep Congo, irrespective if they were born in France, Belgium or Congo.
