mondonewc
He's proven Premier League quality, he could easily have 3-4+ years at his peak, and for the 100th time, he had two years on his contract effectively! Think he'll be class for us and nobody will be complaining about the fee in 6 months time.

He’s only scored over 15 once his whole career and never reached 20. He will do well to hit 20 goals this season bearing in mind he will play in Africa. But he hit 19 last season and I think that’s without penalties so maybe he has got better with age. The downside is there is no potential to get the money back mehren he has a year or 2 on his contract, as he will be 33. Overall though if the fella from Germany can have a similar goal to game ratio he did last season, then we’ve come out the window stronger

Wissa has 2 years on his contract really and scored 19 open play goals last season and 4 assists. Watkins scored 16 not sure if any of them are penalties Watkins would be even worse of an idea. KDT
If we end up paying the full £55m for him it’ll be because he’s been a massive success and we’ve probably secured CL again. Pay the money get him and start scoring some goals and winning some games, nobody will care about the fee then. More importantly this fucker actually wants to be here. Nah, the Isak sales gives us loads of potential headroom. Incoming fees are a lump sum, new signings are amortised over the length of the contract. This deal is the opposite. We need to be strong sellers and trade wisely but I think we are incapable of this and don't grasp such concepts. Think as many as possible is the key point there. Not absolutely everyone ever.

adamjk007
yes we have overpaid but thats a real smart signing, I think he will be brilliant for us especially in the champions league.
andycap
We always knew he'd cost a fair bit for brentford to part ways with him. Think positive we now have two strikers that can take the club forward and look at the big picture.
Dokko
£55m is sickening, especially £130m for Isak. Needs must though.
Lush Vlad
Actually just burst out laughing. Obviously it's needs must. But they've got a good, what? 25-40% more than what he is actually worth and we've got a good 15-20% less than Isak's worth. They both did almost exactly the same thing with their toys out the pram routine. Pathetic from the club.

Almost half the Isak money on a 29 year old who's going to AFCON. Not exactly Moneyball is it. the positive part is that we don't have to just throw a real gem in Woltemade in the deep end and hope he doesn't sink. Checko
It's a lot of money but needs must, we need someone reliable to give the BFG time to get up to speed and take some of the pressure off. Ultimately we need goals and to start winning.

He would probably be the main striker in that formation. Woltemade is a more natural second striker of the two.

Dyeyzzon
Not a fan that both Wissa and Isak got their ways considering their actions. Not a fan that we have given into Brentford's demands for that fee. But I really cannot complain at this stage of the game. We are getting a desperately needed second forward now let's crack on.
