If he was 27, he would be worth 55m. 31 PL goals over the last 2 years in a mid table team. But, he's 29. It's a huge risk. If he's finished in 2 years then it's a massive overpay.

If Woltemade is to be the main striker in place of Isak then Wissa is an upgrade and a half on Wilson as back up.

They've had our eyes out here but you can't really put a price on PL goals and we're desperate, the price is for someone in an office to worry about. Feeling more relaxed than I did at 4am

Really happy with Wissa as I'm defo a fan but I don't think we've gotten value on a single deal this summer.

People kicking off about paying £55 million for Wissa but would happily pay £65 million for Watkins. Wissa has 2 years on his contract really and scored 19 open play goals last season and 4 assists. Watkins scored 16 not sure if any of them are penalties

He genuinely wants to be here. Knows the league. Scores a bunch. Completely different profile from Woltemade and gives us a load of attacking options.

As a follow up to my last post. We were told we had no PSR concerns this season and were on the look out for a Wilson replacement. The Isak situation threw that into disarray but with his fee covering the two incoming strictest would that not leave us with the money originally marked for the Wilson replacement still available to spend?

It's awful, we need as many players with resale value as possible preferable ones which don't cost the earth on an annual basis. This deal is the opposite. We need to be strong sellers and trade wisely but I think we are incapable of this and don't grasp such concepts.
