Scoot
£55m is a lot but we needed this transfer. Not arsed about the fee.

ToonAbroad
Hopefully there's a large chunk of the addons dependent on UCL progress or qualification for next season.

Sheringham, Ferdinand, Defoe even… all decent proven strikers who moved and succeeded the around or the wrong side of 30… We’ve brought in 6 decent signings, moved out some ‘squad’ players and had little choice with Isak… cup half fuckin full here mate…. Taylor Swift
If he was 27, he would be worth 55m. 31 PL goals over the last 2 years in a mid table team. But, he's 29. It's a huge risk. If he's finished in 2 years then it's a massive overpay.
SteV
4 minutes ago, Froggy said: Is £55m a lot given what other players are going for? He scored 19 league goals last season. Players are moving from the Championship for over £40m. Howay man mate, it usually works out better when you say we’re overpaying.
pinkeye
If Woltemade is to be the main striker in place of Isak then Wissa is an upgrade and a half on Wilson as back up.
HayDen Traces
The club have done what was needed and immediately brought in a replacement.
Kimbo
Buying Wissa for £55m is not intelligent. For not much more you can probably get 24 year old Jackson.

Mattoon
They've had our eyes out here but you can't really put a price on PL goals and we're desperate, the price is for someone in an office to worry about. Feeling more relaxed than I did at 4am
geordiekris
Really happy with Wissa as I'm defo a fan but I don't think we've gotten value on a single deal this summer.
Toonjam88
People kicking off about paying £55 million for Wissa but would happily pay £65 million for Watkins. Wissa has 2 years on his contract really and scored 19 open play goals last season and 4 assists. Watkins scored 16 not sure if any of them are penalties
Unlucky Luque
We neeeeeed a striker. He genuinely wants to be here. Knows the league. Scores a bunch. Completely different profile from Woltemade and gives us a load of attacking options. Don't give a shit about the fee - it's not my fucking money. Weznufc
Good signing but the way he got on and the price is abit meh. As others said at least we don't have to throw the German guy straight in

SAK
Just now, SAK said: Doesn’t the Isak fee cover Woltemade and Wissa? As a follow up to my last post. We were told we had no PSR concerns this season and were on the look out for a Wilson replacement. The Isak situation threw that into disarray but with his fee covering the two incoming strictest would that not leave us with the money originally marked for the Wilson replacement still available to spend? BlazeT44
Can Wissa play just behind the main striker? Like in a 4-2-3-1? Pacey wingers either side him.
Kid Icarus
I want to be positive about this. £55m though. Almost half the Isak money on a 29 year old who's going to AFCON. Not exactly Moneyball is it.

It's awful, we need as many players with resale value as possible preferable ones which don't cost the earth on an annual basis. This deal is the opposite. We need to be strong sellers and trade wisely but I think we are incapable of this and don't grasp such concepts.

But I still think he gets a fair few. He gets 15 this season and big nick gets 10. Thats fine.
