This is a shit deal IMO. One, he’s a cunt cut from same cloth as Isak. Then we’ve signed him for £55m, all based mostly on one high output season.

Moving forward, we need seriously scout better if we want to move forward. Not going to challenge the upper end spending £55m on fucking Wissas. It’s another Harvey Barnes.

We have plenty of assets to trade with. I would say about 7 who about double their transfer fee or there abouts. How many do you need? We need some experience and guaranteed goals.

As many as possible, you want to sell from a position of strength into a market which isn't flooded with talent.

We want to be in a position where we decide who we sell as part of our long term squad planning goals, as things are now we get dictated to and we sell for low prices as a result of that.

We want to create situations whereby our squad is built with long term goals in mind as PSR dictates thats what needed.

And that's fine too. That will mean we've had 4-5 good years out of him.

What pisses me off more is that we probably have some headroom for a midfielder that I think we really need but I would absolutely astonished if they manage to get that together. Our executive team looks piss poor tbh. Very badly organised.

We don’t know he’s a cunt at all. There’s nothing to base that on.

At yes the Harvey Barnes who paid a pivotal role in the cup final win, what a disaster.

Wissa will do great here and prove to be far better than his detractors realise.

People are going to say this to justify their rage at Isak. Obviously it doesn't bother Howe, he's the one who has pushed to bring him in.

You must have had heart failure when the Woltemade story broke?

The absolute fixation with Prem experience is odd though, other teams seem to manage just fine buying abroad and quite frankly, our hit rate with non Prem players is exceptional.

Eddie's Brexit Army.

In this case, I think it was needed - we've already spent a big wad of cash on a young, unproven talent from overseas.  Wissa should hopefully be the Wilson to Woltemades Isak.

What pivotal role did Harvey Barnes play? Going through the starting Xl I think pretty much every other player contributed more. [emoji38]

We will need to get better at crossing the ball, he’s a tap in merchant so don’t expect goals out of nothing.

:burn2:

Not many 'tap ins' there, like

We've signed Ramsdale, Thiaw, Ramsey, Elanga, Woltemade and Wissa (🤞🏻).

We may yet sign another, but it's looking doubtful.

That's hardly the work of a "piss poor" executive team.

On a positive we have signed 2 strikers, 1 proven in the league and 1 with high potential. Offers options to play a different style with both in the team. Add Ramsay, Gordon and Elanga and few options how we set up to attack.

Could play a 4231 sometimes with Gordon, Woltemade or Ramsay in the middle and Elanga on right with Wissa up front. Potentially helps with hard to breakdown teams and offers more than just having Isak isolated up front most games.

Do you not get tired of just being an argumentative wanker?

Even by the low, low 2025 standards, throwing a strop and going on strike is a tad much when you were only signed 62 days ago.

And by the looks of it, if he keeps scoring 10-odd goals per season Man Utd's gonna come knocking soon enough.

worked well with Livramento to keep Liverpool’s right side quiet.

£55m for a 29 year old no one else was in for does seem like a lot... But fuck it, we needed a striker and we've got one so I'm delighted. He's a good player and I think he'll do well here.

I know this isn't the best possible outcome but we're in a hell of a lot better position now than when the Isak news broke last night.

He was excellent, maybe revisit the highlights I dunno what to tell you. Gordon’s red card could have scuppered our chances, Harvey stepped up.

I look forward to a few weeks time when some of you have calmed down and realise that we have had a good window (all things considered) and the best squad we have had in a long time to help us compete on four fronts. This signing gives us guaranteed goals whilst Woltemade gets up to speed, who will hopefully be an elite striker in a few years time.
