Minhosa
The difference between him and Watkins was night and day. Watkins is levels above him.
Sibierski
Similar to Elanga, we’ll get use from a squad player but I don’t see it in him. He’s not someone who can lead the line for a side that wants to push top 8. Wilson / Almiron / Longstaff gone. Wissa / Elanga / Ramsey in, who are all better, but that’s because they’re replacing the end of those players, not their peaks. So much for the lifting of the bar in a minuscule way. Lush Vlad
1 minute ago, Andy said: Villa's centre halves are a lot better than the two clowns that were at the back for PSV, so that probably accounts for the difference there. I still think he'll do alright here in time but he looks miles off the pace at the moment in the league. Oh 100%. But there were quite a few times where he was back to goal and just flat footed, then leaning into the CB’s for some reason. Never going to win that battle. Yet never ready to receive the ball on the move. Even when he had space his play looked sloppy and often played the wrong pass or made the wrong decision. I think/hope it is down to rustiness, fitness and a new system. As he looks horrendous for the money, if not.
OoOGazOoO
Wouldn't mind so much if he put some graft in, today he was going through the motions, we need more from a 9.

Been the same in every league game, then UCL he was proper on it. Considering he pushed to move for UCL, and his fitness may not be fully 100% there, he could well be saving himself more for UCL with an eye on World Cup play offs in March to come. He’s not good enough to be saving himself tbh.
Mikky
In a strange way him and Big Nick seem to have the same movement in the PL - there’s basically nothing in terms on chemistry with others (I think Nick and Barnes work well but the rest don’t connect with the CFs)

Wissa was injured for half a season, only recently back into a side that has struggled with injuries, with schedule, lack of time on the training ground mid week. To write him off as a squad player already is absurd. Edited January 25 by Nine

He’s literally a poacher at best, not someone to lead the line for next 24 months.

Superior Acuña
Really want to give him time, but he doesn’t fill me with much confidence at all - and he does turn 30 this year, so it’d be nice if he gets going sharpish. Nick lacks threat but can contribute in other ways, I don’t see much from Wissa. Edited January 25 by Superior Acuña
Wallsendmag
He's a worry for me. Moreso than Elanga simply because he's the only genuine CF we have so if he's not up to it we've got huge problems. He doesn't look great, and doesn't have age on his side either. Depends what your targets and ambitions are, but if they are to be challenging for the CL places, then I'm not convinced he's your answer. If you're Brentford and it's mid table security he's fine I guess.
Ronaldo
We knew what Wissa is and isn’t when we signed him for twice his market value. He’ll contribute the odd goal here and there but Isak to Wissa is worse than Cabaye to Colback.

We put some lovely crosses in the box today but no one in the box. Even when Woltemade came on he made no difference. We're creating chances but lacking any quality in the box. That really pissed me off. He's literally just strolling in there rather than busting a gut to get in there. Great cross comes over (Barnes?) and he's nowhere. No point holding your hand up and apologising afterwards. Just do your job!

Just do your job! 100%. I think it was Miley, who actually got into some great advanced positions for those on here that say he plays too safe, and then afterwards Wissa sort of apologised which infuriated me. If we're set up to play this way, which we seem to be by getting crosses in the box then neither Wissa or Woltemade are able to bust a gut to get into an area to influence this. I'm not seeing it with him, but its been the same on a couple of occasions such as today when Tonali slipped him in and Konsa outmuscled him before he sort of gave up in their box. There was the moment in the PSV match where he just fluffed his lines in front of goal from a Barnes cross. You can let him off for not being match fit or just returning from injury, but fundamentally his goals have been relative tap in from either a mistake by the opposition (Fulham GK and PSV CB) or where it was harder to miss against Burnley. When we play against well organised sides mistakes rarely happen and our creativity is poor. Edited January 25 by robbo_11
