Yes, I genuinely think we need to do that

 

We’re aiming for the right players, but at the wrong time in our journey given the clubs who also fancy them  

 

Its infuriating that we’re being deliberately stifled by PSR rules, so we either need to be more creative with our targets and trust that Eddie can polish some diamonds from the rough, or say fuck it and spend what we want but risk the point deductions

It's a blow to miss out on another player but it's more infuriating that we haven't twigged when we're being strung along.... AGAIN. The second Sesko was delaying Newcastle should have moved on. 

I feel for Eddie but him, his nephew and Nickson simply aren't cut out for this. That is then on PIF who should have forseen this and promptly get the right people in the right position rather than taking an absolute age.

Based on everything we've seen, it does look like we were always his preferred destination and he was just showing respect to Leipzig and not publicly declaring it so they would get as high a fee as possible. 

 

That tracks now that Ornstein has confirmed both bids were total packages of €85m. If he declared he only wanted us, then I doubt the fee would have been as high.

 

Guesswork though. It's still not announced.
