You've gotta admit, if you're a self-serving cunt who sees NUFC as a stepping stone, the saga and negativity around Isak and us holding our ground may look unattractive.

The positives here outweight the above IMO, but then I would say that, being a Geordie and general distaste for Manure and their ilk.

This is one of the dumbest transfer sagas we've been a part of, and that's saying something considering our track record. Bizarre. Just pick Manchester United and be done with it. Why have we not pulled out already if it's so clear what his choice is? Why would we help Leipzig get more money if it doesn't benefit us? What are we sticking around for?

Man Utd only actually came to the table this afternoon. Apparently they couldn't afford him.

Time for PIF to go to court to rip up these rule books so they can start evening the playing field.  This window has been nothing more than a coordinated attack from the cartel

Even a points deduction has lost its threat at this point since qualifying for the CL and Europe doesn't help grow a club anymore. 6th, 16th its all the same bullshit at the end of the day if you know you cant go anywhere.

Fair point tbh.

As we're seeing, Champions League and the money it brings isn't really that much, so might as well take a 10 point deduction next season to build a proper squad while losing fucking loads of money. We're unlikely to make Europe next season anyway the way things are going.

Fail at Man Utd and your reputation doesn’t really diminish tbf. The only issue is wages getting a move elsewhere but you’re probably less arsed about that if you’re getting the bunce.

the cartel premium on failed or underused players is really a thing.

Yep - the days when Leeds bankrupted themselves chasing CL qualification are long gone - a successful CL run would add about an extra 10-15% of income to Man Utd compared to a season without

worst is CL wont even do us much extra revenue. lot of the cash are handed out based on the coefficient order of clubs and we are rock bottom in that literally.

some clubs do 60-70-80-90m revenue from it, winners, finalist even more.

I think we will be given 30/40m and that it and even for that we need to get to last 16 probably which is not so simple in this new format.

we seriously need to build up our coefficient as its an additional way to take money out of the pockets of newcomers..., seasons out of Europe completely do a big hit on coeff points and to be fair we only had those ones mostly.

It's a rigged system in a closed shop, impossible to break into.

System is rigged that should be without question.

It isn't impossible to break into though, but obviously in order to break into it a lot more is needed from all areas particularly ownership.

Im not sure, the whole bubble the Sky6 have created from financial constraints to selling women's teams and training grounds to having the press in their pockets. Makes it impossible to catch them with owners that are content to follow these restrictions
